It's a memory I wished I never remembered.
It was weeks after the sudden summoning, we were suddenly being called heroes, sure, it was fun being called a hero, this was another world.
Maybe we'll get some insane overpowered abilities and save the world, who knows maybe I'll meet the princess and go to some fun adventures.
All of it came true, except that I got a commonplace job, it was a non-combat job, Synergist, in other words a blacksmith, all of my classmates all got battle class jobs, nevertheless, I got insane stats, pretty average in the view point of my classmates.
Since I'm considered the weakest of all, the ones the bullied me got more physical, they made go through a lynching under the guise of practice, I just gritted my teeth, I know that if I tried to resist, it might just get worse, or even yet, they might turn to the others, even though I don't like my classmates I hate seeing someone get hurt.
Often times Nishimiya would come to my rescue along with the power rangers, and stop the lynching, that, of course, was pathetic, then ranger red would come to mean giving his oh so wise words of encouragement, it's pathetic to be protected by a girl, but Nishimiya was kind to everyone, and her kindness is what's putting me in this situations.
That was then, another girl would come to me in worry. She would come to me after the lynching asking if I was really okay.
She was the glasses-wearing, Shizuku Nakamura, she was the bookworm in the class, she didn't really stand out in class, however, I took notice of her a couple of times, she had a close friend who was very childish and energetic.
I helped her once, when her glasses broke, since I'm a synergist, I helped mend it back, ever since then, she became close to me.
I considered her my very first friend in the class other than Tetsu that is.
"Are you really okay?" She would often ask "I think you should try and fight back once in a while"
"Nah, this is fine, if I try to fight back, it would just end up in their favor"
I don't know why, but when our trainer had said to form a party, I was the first one that she came to.
I was considered the weakest, so that was natural that no one would want me in their party, even so, she wanted too.
It was just the three of us, Me, Tetsu and Nakamura, that was unnatural, but we made it work, I was on the Tetsu, I was middle and she was the backline mage.
We worked pretty well, then she pulled me on a quest, she said she wanted to get stronger, so, we went to hunt for monsters, it was a day that Tetsu went out of the castle.
I wanted to honor her wish; she was a friend after all. But I never should have done that.
On the hunt while facing a bunch of mountain goblins
*Thud! *
I felt a strong impact hit my head, I fell down and lost consciousness, I thought one of the goblins got me, if so, Shizuku was in danger.
The next thing I saw was a wooden ceiling, my head hurts, when I touched it my hand feels wet. I look at my hand it's red, there's blood in my hand, my head was bleeding! I tried to get up but something stopped me
I was bound in Chains, then I just noticed that the small room that I was in was moving, there were windowed bars
My armor was missing neither was my sword? my stuff was missing
A few moments later the moving stopped, I heard a fuss outside and the doors was unlocking
When it opened, a dozen of guards was waiting
"Asher Guren, come with us!" said the guard
His voice was insistent like he's not taking no for an answer
And so, I was dragged inside, by the way the place that I was taken into was the castle
What the hell did happen? Why am I being treated like this?
Not long I was taken into the throne room, with the king and his noble friends and my other classmates were there
"Hey, what's happening here?" I asked the guard "where was my weapons and armor?"
He didn't answer, but I can see in his eyes, it was full of hate, why? What is going on? I'm really confused right now
"Silence you scum!"
I was silenced, I was shocked, the king shouted and called me a criminal?
"Hey, Is this a joke...?"
I noticed someone hiding behind Atsushi.
"Shizuku!? You're okay!" I was relieved.
She hid further in Atsushi's back afraid, it confused me.
"Ms. Shizuku, you poor girl, could you please testify for us, once more" the king said
Testify? Why? Is this a trial? My head spun; I don't know what's going on.
"We went to the woods… then he said "We should be far out" and pinned me down in the woods…" she sobbed and buried her head in Atsushi's arms.
We were fighting the goblins together, what is she saying?
"I somehow escape by knocking him unconscious by hitting him with a rock and ran into Atsushi who happened to be nearby"
She did it… she… she betrayed me!!!
"If she didn't say that we call the Knights" Atsushi said "I would have strike him down that instant!"
"What are you talking about? We were fighting the goblins and you hit me!"
I stood up but the guards pinned me down with their spears, you better shut up Mr. Nice guy or else!
"To think that one of the Heroes would commit the gravest sin in the country..." Said one of the nobles
"Sin?" I asked
"In Rocheforte, even attempting to sexually assault a woman is punishable by death!" Said the prime minister
"If you weren't a hero" said the king "you would be executed immediately!"
"Executed? I'm telling you you've got the wrong idea! If you're so sure! Show me an evidence!"
As if on cue, a guard kneeled over the king and said
"We've searched the area Shizuku was assaulted and we have seen this"
What he showed was ripped clothes, and it was the clothes that Shizuku was wearing earlier!
"Eek!" Shizuku covered her face and turned away
"You Animal!" Atsushi said
"There you have it! An undeniable proof!"
"How could that happen? I was fighting the goblins!"
It dawned on me, that bitch set me up!
She wanted me to go with her, then set me up for sexual assault, just so she good gets into Atsushi's good graces
"I misjudged you, Guren…" Murasame said.
"W-Wait a minute! Isn't this too sudden? Guren wouldn't do something like that!" my Teacher, Rika Akiyama tried to protest
"I knew it!" Daichi yelled "That gross otaku finally showed his true colors"
I looked over Nishimiya, even she was horrified, the look on my classmates were all in disbelief and disgust.
Just because I'm the weakest, they'll knock me down to make themselves look better
All of them, they're nothing but scum, all of them they're the lowest of the low, and they expect me to help them win the war? Hell no!!
Nobody even believes in me, these people! They're disgusting filths, that war that will destroy them, they deserved it!
"ALL OF YOU SHUT UP!" I shouted "Fine! I don't care anymore! send me back now! And summon a new hero whatever! Another world? Fuck that! Why do I have to go through this? Just send me back! At least my life was better at my world!"
"Running away as soon as things go south huh? Could you stoop any lower?" Kirishima said
"After all you've done? How could you not think about doing your job?" Atsushi said
"Yeah, get lost already! Who wants to fight alongside a rapist?" Daichi said
"You damned Hypocrites!" I shouted "all of you are no better! Thinking so high and mighty just because you have a better ability? At first weren't you trying to take advantage of everything! Fine! I'm not fighting alongside all of you! Just send me back!"
The king exasperatedly said "Well as much as I love to kick you out, but our lord Ouranos had already summoned you, we cannot send you back"
""No way!?""
All them were surprised
"So, I can't even go home?"
I was the only one calm to make my decision, though I'm not really calm, I'm brimming in anger
"Well, once the war is over, it is possible that lord Ouranos will grant you mercy and send you back" the king said
"What? Are you saying that we have to fight alongside a guy like him?" Kirishima protested "Screw that!"
"Fine! I'll handle all the war myself!" I flicked off all of the spears pinning me down
"This guy!"
"Get off me already!" I shouted and made the guards back off; my strength wasn't a joke either
"So, what will it be, King? Are you gonna lock me up until the war comes?" I asked
"I won't imprison you, there's hardly any time before the next wave arrive, scum or not, you are still a hero, one of the only beings that will help us win the war" the king said "but the news of your crime has already spread throughout the kingdom, don't ever think you could lead a decent life in this country"
"I know that already"
"Hey! Wait a second!"
Atsushi caught my shoulder, just thinking about him touching me made me want to kill
Unable to control myself anymore, I grabbed his hand and drove my fist with full strength at his face, enough to knock him down.
"Don't you dare stop me!" I yelled "I'm leaving this castle; I'll train on my own and take down anything the comes down my path!"
It shut him up and didn't move from the ground, the others rush to his position. I didn't have time to be running around. I needed to get stronger, I want to spend a little time in this world as much as possible.
I walked away from the castle gates and outside the fields, weak monsters biting me but I couldn't even feel pain
Just like that, all my money, respect and trust were all gone
I have nothing left, which means I have nothing to lose besides my life
I kept walking, I don't know where I'm heading, I just kept walking punching and killing any monster that came in my way, it rained but I kept walking
On my way, I encountered a large horde of Goblins, because of these guys! I was framed!
I intend to release some pent-up anger into these monsters but it turns out, I was really outnumbered and I was on my last stand at a cliff facing a river, I kept on fighting the goblins fighting them, but I was wearing out
But then my weight and the rain finally cracked the edge of the cliff and I fell into a river and lost my consciousness.
I never even got to say good bye to my best friend.
