My eyes widen. "She WHAT?!" I exclaim stopping my steps. "Gwen broke the marriage. She said she didn't love Arthur anymore." he says sighing. I cover my mouth. "I don't know if you feel happy or sad or pitiful." I say scratching my head.
"I would feel all if I were you." Lancelot says. "So what did you do?" I ask Merlin. "Nothing.. me and Gwen are together right now but Arthur has been rather cold, not that I'd blame him of course. But it's like my brother just started hating me. I don't like it." Merlin says. "Yeah. Well umm how about you come for dinner. We haven't talked in a while. I'd like to catch up." I say looking at Merlin smiling. He nods returning it. "Sure but you might want to get dressed." He says and I nod, me and Lancelot running to where our clothes was. We put them on and go to Merlin, beginning our walk to the cottage.
~~~
"You did what?!" He exclaims. "It's true! He kissed a frog and it turned into a man!" I say and we all begin laughing. "Well I had to or else you would have to! I can't have my sister kissing a frog!" Lancelot exclaims.
We all had finished our dinner and were sitting at the table drinking. The boys were tipsy but I was only slightly intoxicated.
"I still can't believe you did that!" I tell Lancelot taking another gulp from my cup. "Honestly me either." He says shrugging and standing up. He stumbles to the door to the bedroom. "I'm going to go to sleep. Don't-" "Do anything you'll regret?" Merlin says and we look at him confused. Lancelot clears his throat. "kill anyone." I smile at him nodding. "Why does he say that?" Merlin asks getting another bottle. "Last time I got drunk I knocked out a guard cause he was banging on our door." I say taking another gulp and realizing I finished it. "Gimme one too." I say and he nods. "I'm not that surprised to be honest." Merlin says coming back to the table. "Nor am I."
We continue drinking until eventually we run out of bottles. This time we were really intoxicated. "I..I gotta goooo. Gwen will get...worried." He says standing up. I nod slobbishly. "Mmm I'll walk you. Can't have Gwens future husband dying on me." I tease standing up only to stumble. I put my hand against the wall to catch myself. "Yeah... lets go." I say but my hair got in my face. I grab a piece of my blouse and rip it off, leaving me with a thin piece of fabric in my hand. I bend over keeping my mouth closed as the taste of puke enters my mouth but not allowing it to go farther, I swallowed it. I brush my hair upwards with my fingers, then twist it and tie the cloth around it. I made it a year ago. I called it a cabbage, cause it looks like a cabbage is sitting on the top of my head.
Me and Merlin stumble to the door and I open it the both of us leaving the cottage. We walk down the roads of the town stumbling and laughing at eachother like idiots.
I giggle pushing Merlins already tipsy body to the side making him stumble. He laughs and we grow into a giggling fit our hands on our knees one was holding my stomach from the pain. I sigh trying to gain my composure. "Aight... we gotta... wait. Are we going to Gweeenssss... or the castle.??" I say looking at the opposite directions we can take. "Uhmmm lets go to thEEE CASTLE!!!" He shouts like a kid and I laugh putting a hand over his mouth. "Hehehe shut up...! We can't have people seeing me..!" I say hushed and he nods smiling drunkenly.
Eventually we make it to his and Gaiuss quarters. I swing the door open my body stumbling in with Merlin on my back. "GAUIS! Your presence is needed!" I exclaim dramatically my eyes going slightly blurry. It fixes and I see Gaius standing up from his bed looking confused. "Who are you? Merlin?!" Gaius exclaims looking at Merlin who was on my back. "Ah yes we had a few drinks... do you... where I...put him?" I ask and Gauis points at the room in the back where Merlin always was. I try bowing. But end up stumbling forward. I correct my self and continue to the door.
I open the door to see the room looking exactly the same. I sigh trying my best to place Merlin on his bed. I stand up as straight as I can but the urge to puke comes back and I run to the bucket. When I was done I brought the bucket with me and throw it out before looking at Gaius. "I'm a... friend of Merlin. I'm the bit of a... trouble maker so he... doesn't talk much of me. Well...I'll be off." I say bowing and going to the front door. "Wait will it be safe for you to leave? Especially in your attire." He says and that's when I look down at my clothes. The piece that was missing showed part of my stomach, but it really wasn't much. Maybe up to my rib cage. "Ha you would have... to worry about...the person who dares approach me." I say opening the door dazed. "If I remember correctly I almost killed someone once." I say mostly to myself shutting the door.
"La la la la." I hum on my way out of the castle. My eyebrows furrow as I look at the corridor that looked identical to the one I already passed.
Narrators POV
Anika stumbles around and finds a staircase. She goes all the way down not noticing the guards. She closes her eyes taking a calming breath and continues her walk both the guards and herself oblivious to the others presence. She walks into a dark corridor but continues on thinking they just turned the torches off. Eventually she reaches an opening that lit up. She jogs over then scrambled to stay on the land.
Right where she was about to step was a drop. Around her was a huge cave that went up and around the side. She looks around then back at the tunnel she took. "Damn...I drank too much.." she groans, plopping down on the floor and holding her head. There was a huge sound of wind. She looks up around but nothing insight. Then a big flying lizard comes into view from above. "Ahhh lizard!!" She exclaims her eyes lighting turquoise. The lizard immediately slammed against the opposite end of the cave, farthest away from her with bright blue fog surrounding its limbs and long neck. "Hahaha you are very strong, even when not conscious." It chuckles out in a deep voice. "AAAHHH!!!! IT TALKS!!! IT TALKS!!!" She exclaims scrambling back into the tunnel. "Nonono. I'm no foe. I'm here to assist, though you are capable of more things than I. I have more knowledge and am here to help." He says and Anika's eyebrows furrow in worry. "Did I maybe drink too much?" She mumbles scratching her head. "This is no dream. Yes you are intoxicated but this is real." He says and she put her hands against her mouth.
"But didn't they kill all the flying lizards—dragons?" She corrects herself. He nods clearing his throat. "They kept me as a sign that they conquered magic. But they never really did. They just made humans hide it. You can't really erase the fact that one has the capabilities of magic." He says and she nod looking up at him. Her eyes widen when she realizes he's struggling. "Oh I'm sorry." She says and her eyes return to brown. The dragon begins to fall but it catches itself. "What's your name?" She asks. "Kilgharrah." It replies and she nods. "Well, Kilgharrah, I will be leaving as I... am apparently...drunk..? As you can see. So good... night.." she says her sudden soberness long gone.
"Yes. Till we meet again." He says nodding and she stumbles slightly bowing and leaving.
"Loploplop, I met a dragon today~"she humans walking n around the castle corridors once again in search of an exit. She scoffs looking around. "If that dragon...knows SO MUCH..! Why...didn't he show me the exit?!" She exclaims throwing her hands up and leaning against the wall.
ANIKAS POV
I put my head back on the wall. My mind wandered to many things that have happened in the last three years, every small detail leading me back to Camelot. I met Lancelot. I trained him. We went closer and closer to Camelot as the years passed. Only once did we ever stay inside of a village. And it was one of the greatest but most painful decisions we've ever made.
River.
"Excuse me but what are you doing here?" Says a voice and I open my eyes. Everything was blurry from my tears but I saw him. I saw River, right in front of me. I sigh in relief.
"River!" I let out and kiss him.
