As soon as their morning breakfast ended all three of them head back to Randale's house yet what greeted them at home is an empty house. Karol quickly fishes out her phone and place multiple calls but failed.
Luka runs over towards the living room and watches his cartoon upon listening to his father who encourages him to do so while Karol is busy calling her parents.
"Mummy where are you? I called daddy a couple of times and he did not pick his phone up that's why I call you,"
"Hmm"
"What?! Wait. When?" asked Karol as she stopped in the middle of the staircase then walks downstairs heading over to the kitchen as she said;
"Wait I go and check"
"Okay, I found it, hmm. Okay. Have fun. Bye."
Said Karol as she hangs up the call and put her phone down at the kitchen counter while Christian stands at the end of the kitchen counter asked;
"Is everything okay?"
"Yes and no"
"Want to tell me about it?"
In a soothing and caring tone Christian slowly moves towards his mate who was busy reading messages, didn't notice his advance yet his action halted as Luka enters the kitchen area.
"Mummy, I want some pudding please,"
Before Karol could respond, Christian quickly replied; "Let me get it for you" as he marches towards the refrigerator and grabbed his pudding.
"Here you go buddy,"
Christian hands over the pudding to Luka who was standing behind him smiling overly happy 5-year-old while thanking him as he exits the room leaving both of his parents behind.
Now that there's nothing in between them, Christian walk over towards his mate, asked; "Love, you okay?" as he inches his advance towards his mate who was reading the short message from her parents.
"Yes I am but I need you to do me a favour,"
Karol turns around and almost bumps into Christian chin as they are closed. Instantly Arlo pushes Christian away and took over while apologising to her;
"Sorry didn't notice I was standing that close to you,"
"Whatever you big-bodied child any way I need you to keep an eye on Luka by yourself because apparently both of our parents is not at home and they'll be back around 9 - 10ish," said Karol as she pointed and show the content of the letter to her mate who was standing close to her for him to read.
'My Goddess he stands near me and my body is in flame, what is wrong with me?'
Christian who gain back his body said; "Don't worry about that, we can take good care of our son,"
"Really?! No complaints?"
After reading the text in which bring Karol's wandering mind back to its body while she takes a few steps away from him who unconsciously make a wounded sound then her minds travel again as she talks to herself.
'Wait! Why does he sound sad and like a wounded kid? And why the fuck am I even care?!'
She then blinks her eyes a couple of times before slightly shaking her head before focusing back on her mate who was standing there looking at her. Arlo's midnight black with deep blue and a rim of gold pair of eyes looked directly at his mate.
"You okay mate?"
"Arlo? Can you do me another favour now? I need privacy"
"Done"
Karol looks at him intensely then throws her body at Arlo as she groans; "Oh God!" while he easily catches his mate at the same time buries his head on his mate's neck and takes a deep breath of her scent.
"My Goddess you smell divine, my Lord,"
"Why do I feel so attached to you? It makes me go nuts and I want to touch you badly and when I do that there's this electricity like a lust burst every way and Arlo!"
Said Karol as she snuggles into her mate's arms but was shocked at the end that turns to smirk before she said in a small voice; "Don't you go hard on me"
"Sorry mate, I'm so sorry. Your present and your touch ignite my sense and it makes me go crazy. Crazy for you, only you"
Reply Arlo as he smiles at Karol lovingly but before both of them could do anything Christian was banging on their mind link in which is subconsciously heard by Karol as they still hugging.
It felt like the mind-linked between her and her son, Luka, as clear as day as Christian screams;
"You fucker Arlo, let me out! I want my mate too!"
While he throws punches in which makes Arlo slightly winch. Arlo then release their hugs and take a few step away from her knows that she needs the distance as he said;
"Sorry mate, Christian is throwing fits for completely blocked out by me,"
"No worry Arlo, you can let him out now," said Karol as she could hear Christian cursing;
"You asshole, don't you ever do that again! I want my mate too"
In a mocking tone as he gradually gives goes back at the back of their mind he said;
"Can't promise"
Karol silently listen to both Arlo and Christian bickering but maintain her poker confused face as if she couldn't hear anything.
'How in the world can I listen to their private mind link?'
"Ermm, Arlo. Please help me take care of Luka and I will try my best to be here before 11 pm" said Karol to Arlo in which responded by Christian;
"Don't worry mate,"
"Okay thank you and I have to go now so bye,"
Karol walks out of the kitchen and heads over to her bedroom. A few minutes later she walks downstairs with her work bed as she heads over to the living room where her baby boy is busy watching cartoons.
"Luka baby, listen to your daddy when I'm not here okay,"
"Do you hear me, Luka?"
"Yes mummy, we heard you"
"Good, now if anything goes wrong like anything. I want you to call me straight away okay?"
"Yes, mummy we will call straight away"
"Have fun with your daddy, mummy loves you," said Karol as she hugs her son and kisses his head before gathering her belonging and head over to the front door avoiding looking at Christian who was smiling from ear to ear like a maniac at their interactions.
Unconsciously Christian asked Arlo through their mind link while looking at his son and mate's interaction;
'Why does it look like we are the house-husband right now and our mate is the breadwinner?'
This makes Karol snort a little but a shocking statement from Arlo; 'Wait did she hear us?' as he asked Christian in a confused tone.
Christian looked at his mate; 'I think so cause she snorted at my question' while informing Arlo which made her slightly internally panic but she quickly plays it off by clearing her throat and snorting again.
"Oh, what is wrong with me? Am I too nervous to leave my baby"
Murmur Karol slightly loud just enough for Christian and Arlo to hear as they both said; 'She's just nervous, well that's a given cause she'll be away from her son in which I think she never did once leave him alone'
"Don't worry mate, we can take care of our son," said Arlo as he winked at Karol who shakes her head in a disapproved manner.
"Bye"
"Bye mummy"
"Bye Mate"
With that Karol hop inside the car and drove off from the house but not before she reminded her son about an important agreement between the two.
'Baby boy, I want you to promise me that you will not tell your dad about us two communicate through mind link okay,'
'Yes mummy I remember and I will not tell daddy about anything. Don't worry mummy'
'Okay thank you, my boy, and have fun running with your dad and be careful okay. I love you'
'Okay mummy and be safe. Love you too'
Meanwhile back at the house to the father-son duo the moment Karol drove away both of them quickly take off their clothes and let their wolf out as they play catch out at the back yard of the house.
