On the fourth day, which on the only day Karol was out from the infirmary to deal with her sudden unexpected urgent work so she excuses herself and heads out before making sure that there are some pack warrior members was there to take care of their alpha.
"If he's awake please call me okay? Like immediately" said Karol as she instructs one of the guards standing outside guarding the infirmary before she dashes out from that place.
"Doc?" said a very hoarse male voice.
"Yes, Alpha. How are you feeling right now?" said Doctor Natalie as she quickly checks upon him.
"Can I have some water?" asked Christian through their private mind link.
"Certainly Alpha" reply Doc Natalie as she quickly pours water into the provided glass.
"Arlo, can you smell that?" said Christian to his wolf through their mind link.
"Yes I can and I'm eager to get out from this death bed" reply Arlo as he smiles widely while sniffing the air.
"Alpha," said Doc Natalie as she looks at her alpha drinking while sniffing the air.
"Is my mate here?" asked Arlo still sniffing the air.
"Yes alpha, Luna is the one helping you while you're unconscious" reply Doc Natalie truthfully.
"She still cares for us Arlo!" said Christian as he almost screams through their mind link.
"Where is my mate?" asked Arlo as he stands up from his bed.
"She went out for an important work" reply Doc Natalie.
"Okay, I'm going out now," said Arlo as he ripped off his IV drip and the heart monitor wire that was attached at his fingers and some attached at his chest area.
"Ah, al-alpha you can't, you still need to get some rest," said Doc Natalie.
"No" reply Arlo in a straightforward answer and straight away walk out of the room.
"Alpha?" said one of the warriors dumbfounded as they saw their Alpha walk past them and then follow him.
As they walk in silence and quickly Arlo suddenly stop in the middle making the two warriors almost slam on him.
"Why would we be going out from the infirmary if our mate willingly comes to us," said Arlo to Christian more like a statement to himself.
With that in mind, Arlo marches back to the infirmary and quickly take off his coat before laying down on the bed waiting for Doc Natalie to reattach the IV Drip.
"What are you doing Alpha?" asked a very confused Doctor who stopped in the middle of her work.
"Attach that IV drip back" reply Arlo in a cheerful tone.
"Oh, okay," said Doc Natalie as she looked at him in a questionable look but quickly reattach the IV drip without any question.
"Ash don't you dare call your Luna," said Arlo through their mind link as soon as he heard the typical ring tone of calling someone.
"O-o-okay Alpha" reply Ash as he quickly cut the call and close the door.
"Now let's pretend that we are still sick, shall we?" said Arlo to Christian who nods enthusiasm on that childish action.
Meanwhile back to Karol who's rushing to the airport trying not to get angry and curse at her own family who already waited for her at the airport.
"Mummy~," said Luka as soon as he spotted his mother.
"Luka~" reply Karol as she jogs towards her son and hugs him.
"Oh hi, uncle Jason," said Luka as he spotted him helping the others with the luggage.
"Huh, uncle Jason?" asked Karol as she turns around looking puzzled while still hugging her son.
"Oh yea, how's your flight guys?" asked Karol as soon as they boarded the private van.
"It was good/ okay" reply everyone at the same time except Jason who's busy playing with Luka.
"Jason? How's your flight? Did you arrive earlier than them?" asked Karol.
"Seriously sis? Are you like being playful right now or genuinely forget?" asked Jason as he looks at her sister in law with a raised eyebrow.
"Huh? In what way am I being playful?" reply Karol.
"I was here with you since day one remember?" said Jason as he stated the obvious.
"Oh really?! Why didn't I see you at all?" asked a very puzzled Karol.
"Oh my, I'm guessing everything disappears around you the moment you saw your mate huh" teased Jason as he smirks in which makes Karol roll her eyes not denying it nor conforming to it.
"Mummy's mate as in daddy?" asked Luka as he connected the dots.
"Wait! So mummy meets daddy?!" said Luka happily as he bounces happily clapping his hands together while smiling.
"Yes! I can see daddy and hug him now!" reply Luka happily.
As soon as that statement comes out of his mouth Karol feels bad and sad for his son for keeping him away from his father but at the same time, she glared daggers at Jason who looking away from Karol not wanting to make any eye contact.
"You'll see daddy when he's okay, okay baby boy?" said Karol through their mind link.
"Okay mummy!" reply a very happy Luka.
"How's Sharon and the kids?" asked Karol to her parents.
"They are doing great and oh Jason, Sharon wants you to go back home and help her out with the kids," said William.
"Okay, dad" replies Jason as he fishes out his phone and types away.
Soon enough all of them arrived at the house that they once rented when they visited Theodulf in which now belongs to the Randale family.
As soon as they arrived, everyone busy unpacked their belongings and freshen up before they head out for dinner but not before Karol take a quick visit to her mate just to check upon him.
"Hi doc, how is he?" asked Karol as she enters the room and spotted the doctor checking up on Christian who was fast asleep.
"Alpha's getting better thanks to you Luna, he just need to get lots of rest in which probably a day or two then he can be discharged," said Doc Natalie.
"That's great news, oh Doc when will he be waking up?" asked Karol.
"Probably tonight as in around midnight or pass that but the medicine should wear off completely in the morning in which around 8 or 9 am" reply Doc Natalie not wanting to tell lie as she avoid eye contact.
"Okay Doc thank you," said Karol as she takes her seat and holds Christian's hand.
"Take care of your health too Luna and if you need anything you can just call me and I'll come right away," said Doc Natalie before she exits the room.
A few minutes have passed as Karol stare at Christian while still holding his hands as she runs her hand through his head in a loving manner just savour the moment before she speaks up.
"You know you can stop pretending to be sick and asleep Alpha," said Karol as she halted her action and pull her hands away from him in which makes Christian/ Arlo open their amber eyes that clearly stated both are present at the same time.
"Since when did you notice that mate?" asked both Christian and Arlo making Karol shiver a little as the words tingle her spine as what a mate voice should do.
"Since the moment I saw you without your heart monitor wire" reply Karol casually.
"Okay then since you're awake and well I have to go now and you take good care of yourself okay," said Karol as she stands up and power walked to the door.
All happen in a blink of an eye making it hard for Christian/ Arlo to be dumbfounded to say anything or even move an inch.
"Don't worry, I'll come back until the week is up," said Karol before she exits the room leaving a frozen mate and warrior as she rushes back to her son and family.
"Mummy, do daddy love cinnamon?" asked Luka suddenly as they were ready to sleep.
"Why baby boy?" asked Karol as she was curious and puzzled at the same time.
"Because you smell strongly of it and Beau keep on purring while sniffing that scent" reply Luka as he snuggles closely to her mother who reeks of her mate's scent.
"That's because baby boy, it's your father's scent but don't you worry okay. You'll see him when he gets better okay baby boy" said Karol as Luka nods his head before falling asleep in his mother's arms.
