After the trio entered the room, everyone looked at each other not knowing how to start their conversation.
In a suspecting manner, Karol looked at her family while narrowing her eyes;
"So what is it? There must be something big or else you three won't assemble like this at this time"
"Okay, I'll be frank. I want you to pee on this"
Said Anna as she hands over the pregnancy stick to her daughter. Karol who was overcome with shame and shock quickly grabbed the stick; "I-I-, I-, Whatever, I'll just do it since I want to know too," as she head over to the bathroom.
A few minutes later Karol comes out from the bathroom with the pregnancy stick that clearly has two visible red lines. Karol grips the pregnancy test tightly with a blank face then slowly walk over to her bed and take her seat while lost in her thought.
Upon looking at her daughter's attitude, Anna instantly knows the answer; "Karol baby, you okay?" asked Anna as she tried her best to comfort her daughter.
While Sharon wanted to be sure as she grabs the test out from her sister's grip, "Let me check for you," and like a lightning strike, Sharon said; "She's pregnant," in a low voice making Karol nod her head softly.
"Yes, I'm pregnant,"
Said Karol as she looks at her family with teary eyes that threaten to spill over like a broken dam.
"Don't worry baby girl, we'll take care of the baby with you,"
"Yes, let's take good care of the cute baby together," said Sharon supporting her father's words while Anna take another route as she calmly said;
"Baby girl, it's up to you whether you want to keep the baby or get rid of it,"
Both Sharon and William look at her as if she grows a second head in a total speechless and shocked expression that they heard these hideous words coming out from Anna, the woman who never like to hear the word 'abortion'.
In a small voice yet direct, Karol said; "I'm going to keep this innocent life,". immediately Anna encourages her daughter; "That's my girl," as she hugs her daughter who's sobbing silently while hugging her mother.
"We're here baby girl and we'll support you always,"
"I want to hug Karol too! Leave some space for me you two"
Sharon said as she looked at them in a childish manner and tone while stomping her leg that lighten her sister's mood as she extends her hands making some room for Sharon to squish in.
William couldn't help but murmur "Childish," at his daughter's action in a low voice making all 3 of them laugh.
"I'm a child at heart"
"Sometimes no I mean most of the time you're a child that traps in a grown-up body,"
"Humph," said Sharon in a childish manner making the rest laugh their ass off. Sharon then adds; "Sissy, don't worry about anything okay. I'll be the child's father" while putting her right hand on top of her chest indicate 'me' gesture.
"Hahaha, don't worry guys. I got everything cover. I'm a stable woman with a stable income with an MBA certificate"
Said Karol as she smiles at her family feeling blessed and grateful to have them, a supportive family.
With all being supportive, father will always be father as he asked; "Baby girl if you don't mind me asking this but who did you sleep with?" while he holds Karol left hand.
With a sudden silence coming over them, no one, not even her sister who always back her up moved a muscle as they waited for her answer and they meant it. Knowing fully well her family's attitude, Karol has to spill the beans.
"I will tell you because you deserve to know and also I have my own plan in which I hope you three will comply with it,"
Karol looks at her family one by one as they nod their head in agreeing with her conditions. With a heavy sigh she let out three words;
"I was raped,"
She couldn't look at them, she holds back her tears while looking at her knee feeling stupid and dirty. A person who is worthy of death from rape rather than tell these words towards a God gifted family.
The moment that sentence was out from Karol's mouth everyone was in shock and angry as they look at each other with one intention which is to slowly torture the bastard who did this to her.
Anna turn to look at her daughter, in her soothing tone she asked; "Please tell us, baby girl, we just want to know what happen that day," making Karol succumb to her trap.
"I arrived at Theodulf on the 30th in which is the full moon then I check myself in and then head over to the packhouse without wasting any time. There I meet this sweet boy named Samuel. He was alone and sad because they outcast him so I talk with him just so I can kill some time while waiting for Christian to come back from somewhere in which I didn't ask, as I was talking, comforting and giving some encouraging words towards him while hugging him like what a mother would do than out of nowhere come to this drunkard charging towards us both"
Karol still looked down at her hands as she couldn't lift her head to look at her family as she knows that her family is disappointed in her.
"Then that drunkard punches Samuel until he lost consciousness, bleeding heavily before he then changes his target which is me, he dragged me through the forest and into the cave in which it was hidden behind the waterfall. I kicked, screamed, punch struggling to get myself away from him but all my action is futile, everything that I do it feels like I was doing it into a wall, unaffected but it riles him up he-he-he then"
Karol tries her hardest to swallow the bad memories as she stutters on her own words while keeping her emotions at bay at the same time forcing herself to not cry.
"I beg him over and over again. I tried to push him away, I tried my best to run away from him but h-h-he fucking raped me after repeatedly"
Said Karol as she shakes a little while she revisits the bad memories. Anna straight away hugs her daughter in a tight hug while Karol brawls her eyes out as she recollects about the whole situation.
With slight bloodshot eyes accompanied with a bulging vein that can be seen on William hand as he grip his fist tightly, he asked; "Who is it Karol?" in a hard tone as he tries his best to cover his rage.
Karol said; "He's someone you know and you won't believe that it's him," while still sobbing as she hiccuped.
This time, instead of her dad asked, it is her mother, Anna as asked;
"Who?"
While she releases an angry aura that never in her life ever saw her mother at that state, this makes her exhale in defeat and scared as Anna maintain her glare.
Karol in a very small voice while keeping her hiccuping at minimal, looked down as she replied; "Christian".
"The fuck!" spat Sharon angrily, while asked again; "That Christian! The Ethelwulf Christian?!" in an angry tone reconfirmed her suspect.
Karol just nods at her sister's question in which makes her rile up as she stands up abruptly knocking the chair down in the process but before she could exit the room, Karol, grab her sister's hands holding her back.
"No, don't. Please"
"Why? Why must we spare that mother-fucker?"
Asked William as he seething with anger as he growls loudly at his daughter.
"Because he was drunk," said Karol trying to tell them her unreasonable reason in which makes Anna stand up angrily as she said;
"That doesn't mean he can do that. Out of all people, my own daughter!"
"That fucking 'he's drunk' reasons doesn't clarify anything for us not killing that son of bitches"
Sharon blinked her eyes a couple of times before she turns around and hug her sister dearly while holding back her tears. As soon as Karol looks at her sister who was holding back her tears, she couldn't help but hug her tightly.
At the same time, her crocodile tears threaten to fall as she looked at her parents while shaking her head in 'no' and a beg expression while she hold her hands out for them indicate that she want a bear hug from both of her parents.
William and Anna sigh loudly as they bear hug their daughters, protecting them and wrapping them in warm loving hugs.
