Karol and Christian talk normally like nothing happen but with an obvious distance between them both. They enter the car and drive off to one of Christian's top restaurants which are located 30 minutes away from his office.
He pulled up by the entrance of the restaurant where the valet boy quickly stands and pull open Karol's door before he stand back by the side waiting for them to enter the restaurant.
Christian exit and quickly jog towards Karol side but with the help of the valet boy who opens her door first, she quickly exits the car as she tries her hardest on putting an invisible barrier between the two.
"Welcome to CE restaurant Mam" greet the valet boy as he opens the door widely while smiling sweetly at Karol who's smile back at him making Christian looking at him angrily.
Out of the blue, Karol asked; "You okay boy?" as she looked at the valet boy closely.
The valet boy quickly responds by saying "Yes mam I'm okay," but he remains his head down avoiding eye contact.
Karol couldn't help but take a step forwards; "You don't look okay," while looking at him then she adds;
"Lookup"
The valet boy hesitates for a second before he looked at Karol then at Christian then looked down again as if he did something wrong. She then without thinking, grabbed the boy's hands; "Don't look down boy, you did nothing wrong so hold your head up high," which make him involuntarily look at her wide eye.
"But mam,"
"No buts. Listen here you looked sick boy, seat down first"
Karol pulls the valet boy towards the small podium, pull the chair that was hidden at his post out and push the valet boy down forcing him to take a small break. She then proceeds on rummaging her handbag while scolding him;
"You, my boy need to take a small break and take care of yourself first. Then you can take care of others. Remember, taking care of yourself is important".
"Here, eat this. Dark chocolate is the best medicine when you're hungry or sudden fatigue,"
"Don't look at him, ignore him. I'm the one who's giving you this not him so ignore his glare. You're a growing boy so eat a lot okay"
"Do you have mineral water?" asked Karol to the valet boy who shakes his head no.
After ignoring her mate who was standing there like a third wheel person, Karol asked; "Christian, do you have mineral water in the car?" as she looked at him.
"Let me check in the car,"
"Sorry, I don't have any,"
"No worries then what time you'll be clocking out from your work?" asked Karol as she looked at the nervous boy.
"Late mam,"
"Don't lie to me boy, what time do you clock out?"
"12.30 pm mam,".
"It's 12.35 pm so let's grab lunch together," said Karol smiling at the valet boy who looked timid and small from Christian's glare.
"Don't mind him at all, if he makes you feel uncomfortable then we both will seat at another table while he seats at the other table for being an unconsidered person,"
"No mam, I'll eat later,"
"Later as in forget your lunch and probably eat your dinner or mostly eat your breakfast only later?" asked Karol hitting bullseye as he widens his eyes in a caught guilty style.
In a soft yet loving voice, Karol adds; "So let's go since it's past your working hours now," towards the valet boy who remains rigid contemplating whether he should follow or not.
Taking no for an answer, she turns the table around; "I will force you if you don't comply with this small request of mine," as she gives him her sad and hurt facial expression which makes him feel guilty.
"Okay, I'll follow you, mam,"
The trio then walks inside the restaurant all the while everyone was giving her and him the confused, puzzled and questionable stare.
Upon reaching the table, Karol pulls the boy towards the chair force him to take a seat next to her before she proceeds to take her seat ignoring everyone's stare and mumbles.
"Don't mind them, they're just a nosy human. If you fed them with your attention they will suck your blood dry"
The valet boy nods his head yet still looks down at his hands.
"Hello welcome to CE Restaurant, my name is Cassey I'll be your waitress for this fine afternoon,"
The first to order is Christian; "I'll have the classic lamb chop set and red wine" without looking at the menu but looking directly at Karol who's looking at the menu still ignoring him while covering her face with the menu.
She knows that her mate is drilling holes in the menu as he stares at her yet, her concern, for now, is the valet boy who didn't know what to do nor what to order, thus like a mother, she helped him out;
"What do you want?"
"Do you want me to help you order?"
Asked Karol as she whispers to the valet boy who's nod his head, child-like action still looking down at his hands.
"Okay I'll get grilled lamb shoulder with extra mushroom gravy on the side and he'll eat grilled medium-rare steak with black pepper on the side too,"
"Any drinks mam?"
"2 Warm water, a cup of red wine and apple juice without ice,"
"Okay I'll be repeating your order, 1 classic lamb chop set with red wine, 1 grilled lamb shoulder with extra mushroom gravy on the side with warm water and red wine and another one is grilled medium-rare steak with black pepper on the side with warm water and apple juice, is that all?" asked the waitress as she looked at the trio smiling.
Karol nod her head while handing over the menu towards the waitress as Christian replied to her; "That's all" in his domineering tone without looking away from his mate.
After the order is done, Karol looked at Christian with her chin resting on her palm in a puzzled expression slightly tilted her head while Christian looked at her as if he wanted to eat her alive.
