Andreas sauntered aimlessly through the castle hallways, contemplating Elder Xypherius' admonition. 'His darkness is nearing the time to awaken, and it is devouring his memories; watch over him carefully.' The ominous words impaled the very core of his curiosity and concern. What exactly was the Elder implying, and what unholy unknown had slumbered within his friend? Slumbered? No, it had already awoken, and he merely received a minuscule fraction of its dominating power.
The moon had blessed the castle with its luminous gleam and correlated with the starlight that emphasized it's magnificence. It effused a nostalgic feeling, reminding Andreas of the silvery hue of his friend's eyes. What was now visible was an underlying hint of crimson that would soon reign supreme.
