Faster than he expected, faster than he expected, faster than he expected! Alice screamed in her head. Nacht looked too relax, as if he had completely forgotten about the fact that the king himself had ordered them to not reveal her secret at any cost. Nacht was actually sitting on the table laid back in his comfortable chair and observed the whole scene unbothered while Julius slammed his fists on the table and stood up.

"Watch your mouth!" the King shouted and Alice shriveled in her chair. His voice was loud, echoing in the enormous room with the tall ceiling. "She is Nacht's new partner. I don't know where you heard all these rumors but you should be careful before storming in here like you own the place. You discarded the lunch invitation but still dare to just cause a fuss? Am I a joke to you?" he shouted and even her, the woman who had just entered, overflowing with wit and what seemed to be annoyance took a step back, shocked by his reaction.

She was tall, in her late twenties probably around twenty-seven years old. She had a lean and elegant body with tanned skin, reminding Alice of a dancer she had happened to see in one of the magazines back in Nyx. She had her long legs showing from two big slits in her white dress, her boney shoulders exposed. She was beautiful, like a swan, with brown hair and slanted black eyes she stared at her in utter disgust, making Alice regret complementing her in her mind.

"Am I a joke to you? How could you bring a peasant to be one of us? We are supposed to be royals. Magicians, gifted! Bringing in a girl that only knows how to get fucked will harm our image." She said loud and clear not even the slightest ashamed that Alice was in the room. She did want to insult her and obviously she didn't view her as an equal, since the whole time she spoke her eyes were glued on Julius and not her. She probably thought she wasn't worth of being addressed even when insulted. "And you? How pitiful could you be?" she asked Nacht. "I knew you were different, a low life even with your royal blood but still how could you stoop so low and bring her here? You could have visited one of the houses here or is it that you needed an exotic beauty?"

Alice breathed in. She hated the sound of her voice, the way she so easily insulted everyone, how she repeated the word brothel again and again. Whore, fuck she kept spitting all those traumatizing word at her and her anger seemed to boil up bit by bit. She closed her eyes wanting to be calm but what bothered her the most wasn't all the words intended for her. It was the way she spoke to Nacht. This man was her savior, he was one of the few warm and genuine smiles she had ever encountered and she owed him her life. She was indebted to him, she belonged to him even if she didn't want to admit it out loud, even if that was not why Nacht bought her she couldn't just stand still and listen to all of this even if he did seem unbothered by everything. He had his hands behind his head, listening to the woman as he nodded. Her rant was never ending.

"Honestly Nacht say something! I knew you had a preference for everything, men, women. Your scandals are known but you brought your whore into this palace for what? Are you sure you're not lying to us about her powers. Really you are just trash" she scoffed and Alice realized this was about enough. She stood up slamming her palms on the table in a similar way to the king, not making nearly as much noise as him and finally spoke out.

"Wait a second." She told her between gritted teeth. "You have been ranting all this time. Whore this, brothel that is this how a royal is supposed to talk? I think you are trashier than me or anyone in here? Who gave you the right to storm in here and insult everyone. I have no idea who you are and literally I don't give a shit if you like me or not but…" she said trying to restrain her anger. Once again though it was too late. The table was already shaking, their chairs too and the feeling resembled that of a very strong earthquake. The king and the two children stood up shocked while Nacht chose to remain seated. The glass began to shutter, together with the plates shards being tossed everywhere. "…but I won't allow you to insult the person that saved me. Nacht is great, he is kind and more of a noble soul than you for sure. So shut your snobbish mouth and do me a favor and never talk badly about him again!" she shouted and suddenly the woman was pushed back by an invisible force her body slamming onto the wall.

She coughed and finally looked at her, her dark eyes widened as she tried to get up. She was unable to though. Alice's piercing stare was holding her down, her powers like a gravity force that pinned her down.

"Let me go you bitch!" She screamed at her nails scratching the floor as she tried to get up and Alice heard a deafening sound between her ears, making her think that she would faint. She brought her hands on her head, covering her ears as she tried to stop it and she heard that woman laugh, she was the one doing this to her. She fell to her knees, her eyes getting wet and she let out a slight scream.

That was the moment Nacht finally stood up, stepping onto the table and jumping right in front of her, like a human shield. His fiery sword appeared in his hands as he wielded it skillfully and brought it close to her neck, pointing its tip at her. She had managed to stand up, now that Alice's powers had faded because of her pain and she was grinning. The red head put an end to all of this, only the fear of his sword and his sharp stare stopped her, Alice finally being release and fainting. She almost fell to the floor when a light blue sphere surrounded her, a magical protection formed by the little girl, who had spoken all this time. David patted her shoulder and helped to place Alice safely down.

"If this happens again I will destroy you, slowly. Do you hear me Saaha?" he asked her and the woman gulped. "Does it turn you on to see me mad? Don't you know what happens when I get angry?" he mocked her. "Don't touch her." He told David.

"I am just letting her down so she won't get hurt."

"Just don't touch her. I will take her to her room and I expect you to be there to apologize when she wakes up or else I will make you miserable." He told her and his sword disappeared. He walked towards the unconscious girl and took her in his arms. "You are the King, do your job properly, she is one of your people now too." He said strictly and left the room not sparing them a glance.
