Su Jingyi found herself seated across Yun Zhen and Mo Qianfan while her younger brother was grinning like a fool on her right side. She pursed her lips and threw him a scolding look, reminding him to behave as they have guests to entertain.
Mother Su served the home cooked dishes one after another and Yun Zhen looked at them in awe. He couldn't remember when was the last time he had eaten dinner with a family member, considering his only brother, Yun Ling, was assigned to Beijing and they rarely saw each other unless it was related at work.
"Please help yourselves." Mother Su looked at the two men and smiled inwardly. "It might not be as good as the dishes you frequently have, but I hope the taste is to your liking."
The spring rolls which encased shredded veggies were fried golden with a tangy dip as an appetizer. Su Jingli didn't wait for their guest and started eating along with his father.
