Three days later, when Feng Tianyi and Song Fengyan arrived at the Peach Blossom Garden where the Tangs reside, they were surprised to see a three-story house with a huge backyard, separating it from the bungalow guest house, which was situated almost at the back of the main house.
Auntie Lu opened the gates for them to enter, while Song Fengyan wheeled Feng Tianyi inside the compound.
"Wow. And here I thought the empress was impoverished after her exile." Song Fengyan let out a low whistle as they looked around. Everything inside the empress's home looks elegant and modern.
"Which eye of yours saw that I'm poor?" A cold feminine voice resounded, taking both of their attention as soon as they entered the main house.
They both saw Tang Moyu making her way down the stairs, her hand resting on the banister. Her eyes landed on Feng Tianyi, and gave him a curt nod.
"Mr. Qin."
Feng Tianyi returned the greeting and smiled at the fallen empress before smacking Song Fengyan's leg with the cane in his hand, taking his attention.
"Miss Tang, please don't mind Song Fengyan's words. He's probably grumpy because I dragged him with me today." He told Tang Moyu while his cousin grumbled in pain.
'Damn, Tianyi. He always finds a way to torment me,' Song Fengyan muttered to himself.
Tang Moyu strode towards the living area and took a seat, her legs crossed while Feng Tianyi wheeled himself to a safe distance near her.
"Do you need help moving your things? Auntie Lu has already cleaned the guesthouse. If you want to change the interior decor, you'll just need to inform Auntie Lu so we can arrange for it."
"There's no need for that, Miss Tang. I trust your judgment." Feng Tianyi responded.
Tang Moyu eyed him, expecting some sort of explanation, but there was none. After exchanging some pleasantries, she led him to the back entrance leading to the guest house where he would be staying.
A giggling sound reached their ears as the Tang twins ran towards them with glee. Both were surprised to see their favorite Uncle Ji as their guest. No one had told them that it was Qin Jiran who'll be moving in with them today.
When their mother asked Auntie Lu to clean the guesthouse, the little buns followed the elderly and looked around the deserted place. Ever since they moved here, the two had never been inside of the property, and now that they know that it was their Uncle Ji who'd be staying here, they couldn't contain their excitement.
"Uncle Ji! Uncle Ji! What are you doing here?" Little Star asked.
Tang Moyu excused herself to inspect the cleanliness of the place. When she bought her property here at Peach Blossom Garden, she was planning to let Li Meili use this place as her workplace.
Because of Qin Jiran's condition, she decided to add a ramp at the front door and a paveway from the guest house to the garden. Everything looked good and clean but she wasn't sure if their guest would enjoy his stay here.
"Didn't your Mommy tell you?" Feng Tianyi shot Tang Moyu's back with an amused look. He was sure that they were safe from her earshot. "I bought your Mommy for 100 million yuan."
Little Star's eyes widened in surprise, while Xiao Bao used his hands to count how much was one hundred million with his fingers. His brows furrowed as he tried hard to count mentally but failed.
"What are you doing?" Feng Tianyi asked when he noticed the annoyed look on the boy.
"Uncle, how do I count one hundred million? My fingers and toes aren't enough to count it." He complained before turning to his sister. "Little Star let me borrow your fingers so I can count!"
Song Fengyan who'd been eavesdropping on their conversation laughed so hard, his stomach hurt.
Did the sun rise from the west today or did the pigs start flying? Song Fengyan thought that he should have dragged He Lianchen to witness such an impossible scene.
"There's no need for that." Feng Tianyi laughed along with Song Fengyan before he explained to Xiao Bao the concept of hundreds, thousands and millions.
"Wow, Uncle Ji! You are rich!" Xiao Bao exclaimed once he understood the meaning of millions.
"You bought our Mommy? Does this mean you are our Daddy now?" Little Star asked him expectantly.
Feng Tianyi burst into a round of laughter. Ah, why were these twins constantly playing matchmakers for their poor mother? He was pretty sure dating was the last thing on Tang Moyu's list.
"No, but didn't you say your mother is good at making money? Uncle Ji loves money and for that I hired your mother's service to help me earn more money in the future."
"Oh?" The twins' faces fell when they realized that their assumptions were wrong. They still didn't earn a daddy this time.
"Then why are you moving here and living with us?" Little Star blinked curiously. She couldn't understand why their Uncle Ji had to live with them.
"I'm here because I asked your mother for a favor. Living close to you also means that I can help her when problems arise, don't you think? I also remember hearing two cute buns promising to take care of me," he winked at Little Star, earning himself a giggle from the girl.
When Tang Moyu called Feng Tianyi over, he left the twins in Song Fengyan's care.
"I really thought we have a daddy now." Little Star gripped the skirt of her dress while she and her brother watched their mother converse with their Uncle Ji.
"Don't worry, Little Star. Now that Uncle Ji will be living with us, it would be easier for them to like each other, right?" Xiao Bao assured her.
Their mission to find the right daddy and hubby for their mommy would commence sooner than they expected.
