Chapter 5 - Feelingless (Asahi’s POV)- Part 2/Snow in Summer

I was shocked. This little snow has some claws underneath her paws.

"No, my name is not Kori but- "I tried to justify.

"It is clear to us that you are not Kori, but I am. I am Kori Yotashima, so I am going to head out with two of my drinks. Have a nice life." She interrupted. I cannot believe she walked away with my drinks and let me make waste of my money. She pushed the door handle and left, how uncivilised.

On my way to the seat, I muttered about that little snow. I was furious: she stole our drinks, wasted my money and my energy.

"Hey, what are you muttering to yourself?" Aiko asked. Her legs were overlapping another, and her hands were resting her chin. Even a porcelain face like hers could wrinkle.

"Someone stole our drinks," I told her.

Her face was filled with questions. Then, she dared to ask.

"Why didn't you get it back?" she asked.

"It was a girl" I replied. From the corner of my eyes, I could see her holding a laugh.

"Hahaha, what was her name?" she laughed.

"Kori Yotashima," I said. She stopped laughing and she became silent. I could tell that something was up. Was it something I said?

"Asahi is it the Kori Yotashima?" she asked with a serious face. Who is this Kori Yotashima? I have never heard of her. All I know is that she stole our drinks!

"Kori Yotashima is not a person to be messed with. She is the meanest, richest daughter in the world. Her father is the creator of the 'Tart' app I told you about." She said with concern. Her brows wrinkled and she held tight onto her bag. I could tell that she was worried about already. I facepalmed myself. Goodness, what have I gotten myself into?

Aiko stood up from her seat and pulled me by the arm. She dragged me out of the café. She pace was faster and faster as we were walking. I almost tripped. Her laced har was flinging at the back of her shoulders (which some of them went into my mouth): I was walking behind her. She was walking too fast!

We crossed streets, shops, and parks. Finally, we reached her house where our feet got some rest. I was panting and feeling exhausted. I bent down and grabbed my knees to put myself together.

I walked to the kitchen with my weakened legs. I could barely walk properly. I opened the cold-iced fridge and searched for a drink. My body was chilled by the cold breeze from the fridge. My hands reached out for the nearest drinks for me and Aiko. What appears to be grabbed seems to be in a coffee cup. Could this be? I opened the lid; the drink was untouched. I smelled it and it was coffee. The thing is, I did not know what type of coffee, so I decided that I should bring to Aiko.

As I entered her room, it looked like as if a big bomb of crimson exploded in her room. Anyways, I walked towards her desk-where she was. My feet stepped onto her soft fuzzy carpet and marble floorings. As I approached her, she had a Pear Laptop with her on the table. The light screened onto her face.

I did not bother to peek at what she was doing, so I pat her shoulders. She showed no response.

"Aiko, I need your nose for a bit," I said. What is she doing?

"Asahi, I'm in the middle of something. What possibly could be more important than this?" She asked. She turned around her chair and gave me a bewildered look. My finger pointed to the coffee and she sighed.

She grabbed the coffee and drank it. Then, she continued to tap her fingers on the keyboard. There goes my drink. I quickly grabbed an orange juice from the kitchen table and came back. I knew without liquid running down my throat, I would die of dehydration.

I finally peeked at her laptop and saw what she was searching: It was a bio of Kori Yotashima. I was puzzled. Why would she look her up on *Toogle?

*(Toogle is a search web for them, it is more like Google)

She closed the laptop and snuck it in her bag. The printer next to her was making sounds. Pages of the documentary about Kori was printed. I think I know what she is up to: she is going to make me apologise to her.

I flipped the pages and saw that she was enrolled into King Henry's Prep School (A.K.A my school's enemy) For years, King Henry's been winning every match held: Spelling bee, Basketball, Cricket, Baseball, etc. I cannot believe there is where we are going to meet up. We will look like fools stepping into the school. I gave a pitying look at Aiko; she did not care.
