The emergency room was in an uproar. Doctors and nurses rushing up and down the hallway and some of them rolling a patient on a hospital bed into the operating theatre.
The patient was Keenan Jones.
After being shot twice in the stomach during the fight with the Vito Luciano gang, he had been put in a medically induced coma. The doctors had said that that was the only chance they had at trying to save him and that he had to remain sedated until his organs began to heal. He had lost so much blood and the two bullets he'd been hit with had lodged themselves directly in his liver. It was even a miracle he hadn't died immediately. And he been recuperating slowly but steadily over the past few days, but now he'd suddenly gone into cardiac arrest.
