She landed a blow to the side of Cory's face and was met with the satisfying sound of her fist connecting with the bone in her jaw and Cory grunted in pain and anger, squaring up to return the favour.
She hadn't expected talking to Scarlett Jones to be easy, but she had been given a task and she had to complete it. It didn't matter what kind of hatred Scarlett harbored against The Order, they had to bring her in before it got too late. If it wasn't even too late already.
"You don't understand. We want to help you!" Cory yelled as she lunged her fist at Scarlett who dodged it easily and grabbed her by the arm, pulled her towards herself and then twisted her arm behind her.
"I don't fucking need your help." Scarlett scoffed in response, her eyes filled with venom as she wrapped her fingers around Cory's throat, holding her by the neck in a chokehold with her arms in a twisted lock behind her back.
