Scarlett nodded slowly, confused and caught off guard while at the same time being unable to focus on anything but the way his mouth on her skin felt. The way he drove her senses off the rails.
"So can we stop talking about everything else but us now?" Jean leaned back up to look at her and she took a deep breath, both glad and disappointed that he'd stopped but then his fingers wrapped around the back of her neck and he pulled her in for a kiss. Long, deep and gentle. And it was a surprise she hadn't melted into his hands. The way he kissed her, so deliberate and full of purpose and intention, like she was the most precious thing in his world, it drove her crazy. She never been held or looked at by anyone the way he did. Never felt so perfectly aligned and in tune with someone's soul. Everything simply made sense with him.
