Sally and I looked at each other. It was the first time that I saw this look in her eyes. She was terrified. I think that it's the first time that I actually see her scared, the time her parents were killed in one of the first attacks launched by THEM, she was sad but mostly in anger. She was a pure fury and tried to kill everybody on her path. She wasn't scared when the attacks started but she is scared of this man. Well I think that being killed by someone was not on her life bucket list (if she even had one).
"Ummm... Sorry, but who exactly are you?" I tried to ask politely. I knew that Sally would be no help for this.
"Do you know? It's funny actually. Samantha Bracknel that's it? Well, it's just funny how my own family doesn't doesn't even know me. I'm Sir Henry Bracknel, by the way. Your father's father so your grandfather. I know I don't look old, but don't worry, it's in the genes" at this Sally laughed her head off.
"Oh well hello Sam's grandpa! We actually thought that you were a grumpy old dude who would kill us then scream at our dead bodies for tearing this... ummmmm..... very interesting tapestry off the wall" Sally added in a very cheerful tone.
"Well don't worry about it. I'll put it back on somehow. I actually came here to tell you that dinner is ready. I'll tell you more about that door tomorrow" with that he went away.
"Well that was weird. Let's go find Luke and Rob and then try to find our way to the dining room" I declared.
~•~
Dinner wasn't really interesting. They kept telling us the rules that we needed to follow and where we shouldn't go. I am sure that by tomorrow, we'll have forgotten them so....
During the rest of the dinner, Sally, Luke and I were having a competition of who could annoy the most people present at the table. Luke and I won and Sally was waaayyyyy behind us. We ended up being banished from all the meals.
As a conclusion, the first day was pretty interesting and I couldn't wait to be tomorrow.
