After they made us visit the manor, they showed us our rooms. I was sharing one with Sally, Luke and Rob each had their own room.
Our room was very big with three king sized beds. The room was divided in three sections, each one with a big mahogany cupboard and a large desk: it was exactly like a school dorm would look like except in fancier. On the far end of the room, there was a tapestry with in each side of it bookshelves filled with dusty, old books. Sally directly went to the tapestry while I gracefully (or not) fell on the closest bed.
"Don't you think it is weird that they didn't show us where the stairs with a door in top led to?"
"Sam, come and see this" was my only response. I could sense the excitement in her voice so I hurriedly went to her.
It was just a normal tapestry. I wondered what she found exciting. As I looked closer I could see a slight bump underneath it.
"Look, there's a door behind it I think!" Whispered Sally. And with that, she yanked the tapestry off the wall.
"How will we explain this to my father?" I shouted "Holy crap!" I continued as I finally realized what the tapestry was hiding.
There was a majestic wooden door (probably mahogany as everything else in the manor) with little swirls and twirls and encrusted details on it.
"Well you don't" was the only answer. I stopped breathing as I noticed that it's wasn't Sally's soft voice but a deep, menacing voice.
