The young man recounted the scene when two days ago he met with a little servant girl from the General's manor. The girl, no more than ten years old he guessed, didn't enter the courtyard but stood at the gates with a rice-paper envelope closed with a red wax seal addressed to 'Second Prince'.
"What is it?" Jian asked the little silhouette like that of a periwinkle flower.
She bowed in respect then held out the envelope with two hands above her head. "It's a message from the young Ladyship Hishoku."
Jian reluctantly took the envelope. He was on point to shut the gate when the servant-girl quickly shouted: "Please Sir, my mistress ordered me to await His Highness's reply!"
As Jian turned heel towards the house he harrumphed of discontent—'there is no need for this woman to create more troubles for the prince. Her alluring and charming appearance is like a knife pointing towards him!'
