CHAPTER EIGHTY-SIX
"Oh, shit? Seriously? Alice Slade? She's the Freakquency? Is that why the First Division was so hell-bent on getting her?"
Alec shook his head. "She's not the Freakquency,"
"At least we don't think so," Ronnie added.
Alec cleared his throat. "But she is. . . Patient Zero of the Freakquency experiment,"
"Oh shit," Z repeated but unlike before, his face looked like his interest had been piqued. "Really?"
Alec nodded as he sighed and sat down on his carpet. He felt like everything was happening so fast, one after the other. It was taking a toll on his mind and body. And he knew that despite Z's smiling face, he could understand that the young man was still reeling from what he had felt from Jet.
