Unknown to Martha, her mother Margaret did hide something from her before her arrival. Margaret arrived that morning inside Martha's room and saw her daughter was still asleep in her bed. She placed her bag and sat on a chair while she took something out of her bag. It was the envelope with Marcus' name on it. She examined the envelope in her hand, and she had no idea what it contains.
"Give it to Martha," George Dee prodded her before she left. Her husband was in bed, barely able to move.
"Should I tell Martha about your condition?" Margaret asked.
George resisted as he coughed uncontrollably. "My cancer has spread, and it is impossible to find a cure. I don't want her to worry about me, so do not tell how I suffered."
Margaret wiped the tear from her eyes. "About this envelope?"
