"How can this be?" Mario Deluca, a 63-year-old mining geologist, gasped in awe at the mirror-like image reflected in the puddle before him. He adjusted his spectacle and looked closely at how the fluid seems to have a mind of its own as it separates its black and transparent color into various shapes, even mimicking his likeness. A quake just hit the inside of the cave, and yet he remained still- as if everything around him, even time, was suspended in the air.
