Chapter 1 - Breeze

That beauty.

The small, sweet sounds drifting from a newly hatched bird's nest. The laughter of my fellow royals drifting softly on the southern wind. The mirrored glaze of the well I stare into now. Oh the reflection that stares back at me -so weathered with the sorrows and hardships that this world has thrust upon me that I barely recognize it. I shiver, sensing with a prickling feeling -that travels up my spine- the presence of my follower. Brushing away a strange and wayward tear, I force a smile to my lips before standing up and facing the dark reality before me, pushing away the memories and sensations that I had felt just moments before. The face staring at me is beautiful. Copper hair ruffled in this slight and warm breeze, tanned skin just like mine- and yet seemingly darker, even in the light of the glistening sun. One blue grey eye and one green and hazel one, which is place just below a stretched and reopened scar. A scar that does not mar the familiarity and attraction of the face and only enhances it. A prominent and slightly crooked nose that harbours the few freckles that bring out the gentler side of their host, and a muscled, toned, and tall six foot seven body that could coil to attack at a moments' notice. Ah. Desorden Fuego, the one they called Hijo del Guerrero- meaning Son of the Warrior. A lethal man, but also someone who (I'd been told) would be one of my greatest allies. The later sinks to his right knee after a few seconds of silence, taking and kissing my hand in one smooth, blithe motion, before opening his heart shaped mouth and speaking in his satisfyingly deep (and slightly German accented) voice.

"Your Majesty. I am extremely pleased to have been allowed to make your acquaintance." His eyes flit up to mine mischievously, breaking a standing rule that a Ruled must never make eye contact with Royalty. I accidentally shine him a genuine smile, breaking my usual cold protocol.

"Why how kind of you to say! But I hope that you'll believe me when I assure you that the pleasure is all mine.".
