Chapter 50 - The Rogue

Coe rushed through the halls of the Centinal vessel, trying to avoid guards and head to the bridge. Her anger fueled her steps and her rage guided her forward. She might die in this endeavour, but she was certain of one thing: she was going to have that traitors blood.

She ran down the halls, looking around and searching for the main lift when she saw a squad of battle droids marching towards her. The instant the saw her the droids began firing. She quickly used the force to rip a panel off of the wall, deflecting the incoming fire. She moved forward, fueled with her anger, and force pushed the panel towards the group, crushing them instantly.

She walked up to the wreckage, grabbing several limbs and placing them together. Using the force, she disassembled them and combined them into a large staff like weapon. She swung it around a bit, making sure the weapon would not falter, and she continued running. The halls reminded her of her pass, only fueling her rage. More droids came from a corner and she threw her makeshift weapon at them, decapitating the group of droids. She ran past the debris just as they hit the floor, using the force to throw two of them at another group of droids, crushing them against the wall,

"Oh, the programing! Oh the horror! Why-" A droid began shouting out as its legs were ripped from its body before Coe used the force to rip its head off, holding it by the neck. Now with her makeshift weapon held tightly in her hand, she presses forward deeper into her captors vessel.

The General stormed through the hall, looking around at his vessel in lockdown mode. Growling, his eyes were fully yellow as Grievous hunted once more. He pointed to his Magma guard, two moving forward. "You two could with me, the rest of you make sure she doesn't get to the hangar!" The four other guards nodded, running In a separate direction. Grievous and the two guards that stayed with him moved into the hall, Grievous taking a more hunched stance as he moved.

'We can't kill her. She could still prove useful!' Grievous heard the pathetic voice of William in the back of his mind, causing thr cyborg to scoff. "The only thing that Jedi traitors good for is practice against a more formidable opponent!" Grievous shouted slamming his fist into a panel, denting it. As he argued with himself, he saw the shape of Coe come into view, her body covered in oil and grease.

"Lovely..." He heard her say, fixing her posture to stand tall. She stared at the Separatist leader, clenching her oil covered fist.

"Ah, the supposed Inquisitor..." Grievous said, his claws clicking against each other. "My master has someone like you in his employ a long time ago, a former jedi turned traitor. You are no different from her." He reached for his collection, grabbing two sabers, and exposing her Inquisitorial blade. She took the opportunity and used the force to take it back, grabbing with both hands and igniting it.

Grievous began laughing as he saw the red glow against her body, igniting his own two sabers. "This shall be entertaining..." He said, spinning his sabers as he slowly approached. Coe growled at the cyborg, watching as he closed the distance between them.

"I'm going to end the Separatist once and for all!" She shouted, jumping forward with her blade pointed directly at him. The three blades collided, stopping her in her tracks. She landed and activated her second blade, stopping Grievous' second blade from making contact with her body. She glared into the lit face of Grievous, into his evil yellow eyes and yelled, pushing the General back.

The cyborg laughed, his blades spinning faster as he stopped himself sliding back the hall completely. The two Magma guards accompanying him activated their staffs and approached, causing Coe to go on the defense. Their staffs collided with her Saber, the purple electricity dancing along the red blade. "What drives you, Coe? Your Inquisitorial brethren have not tried to save yoy, and they will not rescue you. Why do you not join me?"

"Because you're a killer! You killed hundreds of Jedi during the war!" She roared, dueling with the guards, managing to decapitate one of the droids. The Droid stumbled back, allowing Coe to focus on the fully functional guard. "Why would I, a former Jedi, join you! You're a monster!" She pushed the full guard back, starting at the cyborg.

Grievous stared at the Inquisitor, watching as she struggled. William also watched from within, feeling somewhat sorry for her. It wasn't long ago that he was in a similar state, blindly following the Empire with no true purpose. Only sent to kill those deemed rebellious to the Emperor and his will.

Coe used the force to push the decapitated guard back but lost focus when the full guard shocked her, causing her to fall to her knees. She dropped her saber and groaned as the second guard shocked her too, purple electricity covering her form. Grievous walked up slowly towards the former Inquisitor, his metallic feet echoing im.the hall.

Coe watched as the cyborg knelt.down.and grabbed her Saber, deactivating it. She looked towards the face of the monster, but instead of seeing those hateful yellow eyes, she say soft emerald green eyes; eyes filled with remorse and somber.

"We may have been monsters, but now we are different. The old Grievous would have just slaughtered the lot of you." He explained, mentioning the first encounter Coe had with the General. "All we want is for you to no longer be a slave to your anger. A slave to your hatred. A slave to the Empire..." The General stood up, calling thr guards off.

Coe looked around violently before focusing on the General, his poster soft and gentle. "I wish for you to serve alongside me and help end the tyrany of the Empire." Coe watched as the cyborg extended its claw, trying to shake her hand. She gave the claw a stare, unsure of how to respond. After a moment of silence, she sighed, taking the claw into her hand.

"So, how can I be of assistance." She muttered begrudgingly.
