Chapter 13 - The Deal

Kha brought the two Imperials to the command tower, the droids taking a look at their guests. Some screamed, others looked at each other in confusion, but they all went back to work when Kha shouted at them to get back to work. The wolf man stomped over to a rectangular table and took a seat, watching as William and Draxacon approached. "You think that's just the way he talks?" Draxacon asked William through a personal comm channel. William's reply was a simple grunt. The two men looked at the table, seeing that the chairs provided would either break under them.

William looked up to Vulpus, shrugging, "I think we'll stand." Kha gave a toothy grin, relaxing in his custom seat. William removed his helmet, setting it down on the table. "So, I've explained my end of this deal..."

"MORE LIKE AFTER YOU BLACK MAILED ME." Kha leaned forward, baring his fangs at William. The wolf man released a low growl, trying to intimidate William. The captain simply returned a chuckle to the Ex-Separatist, causing Kha's expression to shift to fury. He contained his wrath, however, knowing that if he attempted to kill this Imp, his troopers would sweep through his town. He growled away from the Imperials standing before him, then settled once more. He took a deep breath and spoke once more, this voice not being the constantly yelling beast the two had seen before. "So, what is it you want from me, Imp?"

William's eyes were filled with surprise, and if Draxacon's helmet was off, his surprised expression would be visible as well. William collected himself and spoke, pulling out the data disc that brought him there to begin with. "I need you to build two ships for me." He placed the disc on the table and slid it over to Vulpus.

The general looked at the disc with suspicion, but then grabbed it and passed it to the tactical droid standing beside him. The droid inserted the disc into the back of his head, and began projecting a hologram of the schematics. The 3D hologram rotated slowly, allowing all three people present to see the designs. Kha looked at it with a mixture of fear and amazement, William looked upon the ship with eyes full of anticipation, imagining the vessel decimating a fleet of pirate cruisers and frigates. Draxacon looked at the vessel with fear as well, but not the same fear that Kha. Kha was looking with fear for the vessel that looked similar to the Venators that the Republic had used, the same ships that had bombarded his home world during the Clone Wars. Draxacon was looking with fear because he knew that there was no turning back. Their fate had been sealed when William failed to turn this into the Inquisitor. Draxacon was glad his helmet was still on, or else William would have questioned him, but this was a good thing, in reality. If William did not uncover the truth himself, being hunted down like he does to the rebels would wake a few memories up.

Kha looked up to William, trying to formulate what exactly he was asking of him. "You want me to make two of these things? I highly doubt that we have the materials to produce a fraction of one of these ships, let alone two-" Kha was going to continue, but William raised his hand, cutting him off.

"I only want one of these ships, to spec. The other ship I need you to build is a replica of my vessel waiting with your fleet in orbit. However, I need you to make it with the materials you use to make your frigates." This requirement made Draxacon look to his captain. He wondered why exactly he would want an inferior version of the Emperor's Conviction, one not made out of High grade Durasteel? Kha, however, understood clearly.

"I see. That will be no problem. I'll scrap some of the frigates we are not using and make a near identical replica of your vessel. I just need the schematics for it." He then sat back in his chair, sighing. "As for this 'Centurion' vessel, I'll need one more Imperial Class Star Destroyer in order to harvest all of its parts." Draxacon was beginning to understand. William wanted to create this new vessel from the remains of the Emperor's Conviction and one other Star Destroyer. It was risky, something within the vessel's systems could malfunction and either blow up this whole shipyard, or send alarms to the Empire about someone toying with their ships. Kha grinned, looking at Draxacon. "I'll make sure when we salvage the two Star Destroyers that the Imperial command doesn't find out they're being messed with." He then focused on William, "And I'll make sure there's still a shipyard left to return to." He gave the two a deep chuckle.

William gave Vulpus a smile, reaching for his helmet. "A pleasure doing business with you." He placed his helmet on his head, the lights activating. "Oh, and don't think about selling the schematics to some pirate or smuggler. We wouldn't want this place to be burnt down. That would be bad. For both of us." William began walking away, approaching the lift that brought them up there. Draxacon began getting up, then pulled another data disc out, one containing the Emperor's Conviction's schematics.

"I came prepared." He said to Vulpus, the general chuckling once more. He took the schematics and gave Draxacon a grin.

"Do not worry, Imp. I will see to it that your captain's demands are met. I rather do his bidding and still have my port than not do what he wishes and lose what I've spent so long building." Draxacon simply nodded, walking to the lift and joining William. As the doors slid shut, the general returned to his normal self. "DROID!" the tactical droid approached. Kha gave the droid the second disc, almost crushing the droid's hand in the process. "GET THE CONSTRUCTORS DOWN AT THE BOTTOM LEVEL WORKING! I WANT THAT REPLICA NOW!!!" the droid saluted, sparks flying out from the wrist joint, and it walked away. Kha slammed his fist on the table, leaving a visible crack. "DAMNED IMPERIALS..."
