William walked off the shuttle, watching as the rebels were unloaded and moved to the cell block. William removed his helmet as Andriana walked up to him, as well as one of the Storm trooper officers, which brought a smile to William's face. The officer was as tall as William, his uniform tight around his toned body. He tugged at his collar, the collar digging into his neck. Sergeant Major Draxacon Louinia, commanding officer of the Storm Trooper detachment stationed on the Emperor's Conviction, and William's oldest friend, stopped alongside Andriana and saluted him. William returned the gesture, and the two lowered their hands, Draxacon still messing with his uniform. William shook his head. "Drax, big guy, It's me. We were bunk mates, you don't have to be all formal with me. Especially on my ship." He explained.
The two looked to one another, then Draxacon looked back to William. "Sir, believe me, If I didn't have to wear this uniform, I wouldn't. But I got dressed for someone else, sir." This caused William's grin to fade, and he turned to see Andriana holding a data pad. He extended his free hand, wanting to view the information on it. Andriana handed it to him, and he raised it to his face. The pad read:
"Captain William Jaeger,
"Due to your recent accomplishments with quelling rebel forces across Imperial space, The Emperor himself has sent an envoy to relay confidential orders. The envoy shall arrive at Kuat, and will await your arrival. "
William lowered the pad, a bland expression on his face. He looked to Andriana, and shook his head. "You're mean." Andriana began laughing, turning away from Draxacon. The officer looked to Andriana, then to William, confusion filling his eyes. William sighed. "The order was for me to meet an envoy at Kuat. You didn't need to dress up." William walked past the two arguing officers, Draxacon tearing off the suit, exposing a shirt that did not choke him and the red line that was around his neck. William entered the lift, and turned to see Draxacon yelling at Andriana, Andriana on the floor laughing, and most everyone else in that hangar watching the commotion.
William entered the bridge, an officer approaching him. He looked down at the officer. "Set a course for Kuat." The officer nodded, returning to a terminal on the bridge. "Let's see what these special orders are."
The vessel Emperor's Conviction re-positioned itself, turning away from the planet and pointing towards the vast darkness that was space, and began moving towards it. After it was a safe distance from the planet, it entered Hyperspace, leaving nothing but thin blue lines where it once was.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Emperor's Conviction dropped out of hyperspace, The planet Kuat in range. The Star Destroyer began to maneuver towards the hive that was the shipyard, which had expanded from its original size to allow faster production of Star Destroyers. The Emperor's Conviction cut the engine when it was near the station, and shifted into a defensive position, facing away from the station.
Inside, William, now out of the armor, approached a drop ship, followed by four Red Death troopers. The five approached a drop ship, walking up the ramp and entering. The ramp was retracted and the landing gear was raised, the drop ship now hovering as the wings extended. The ship rotated and faced the hangar bay doors, the wings fully extended. The drop ship flew out and approached the station's nearest hangar.
The drop ship landed in the hangar, only a few Stormtroopers guarding the entrance. The bay door lowered and William, along with four of his guards, walked down, towards the troopers. The troopers saluted, and all William offered in return was a slight nod. William entered the halls, seeing troopers marching down towards the opposite direction, passing him. William and his four guards marched along, heading to the Administrator's office. The hangar they had landed in, and where the Administrator's office resided was a part of the original ring.
William and his guards reached where the Administrator was located, entering the reception office. The receptionist, more like an officer, in reality, typed away on a console, two Stormtroopers stood guard in the room that preceded the Administrators. The officer looked up, and put her hands behind her smooth black uniform. "Captain Jaeger. We've been expecting you." She nods, stepping around the desk and towards William. "Administrator Hacket is in his office. If your men could wait out here..." The officer said, less as a question and more as a command. William nodded, turning to his men and ordering them to wait here. They also complied, moving to the door they had entered through: Two standing on the inside of the room, and two going to the outside of the room. William then brushed the shoulder of his uniform and entered Administrator Hacket's office.
The Administrator's office was more like a chamber, with a large viewport looking down upon the surface of the planet, cargo ships bringing supplies up to the station and returning to the surface to collect more. His "office" had multiple different trophies, artifacts, medals, etc. all scattered around. One that caught William's eye was the fur rug that lay on the walkway between him and the Administrator's desk, with a sunken face and sprawled out limps. William shrugged away the painful growls and walked over the rug and approached the Administrator. The man that watched over the station turned his head, looking at William as he closed the distance. The chair swiveled, and the two looked one another in the eyes. "Captain William Jaeger, Captain of the Emperor's Conviction and commanding officer of the Red Death, your own 'elite' group of Experimental Death Troopers," The Administrator's use of quotes around elite did not sit well with William, the captain detecting a hint of jealousy in the Administrator's voice. William was about to retort when the door he entered through opened once more, a strange breathing echoing through the chamber. The black shadow loomed over the two men, both standing stiff and awaiting for the Dark Lord to speak.
The heavy feet approached William, The shadow growing larger. The man stopped next to William, and William could feel the air as the man exhaled, the noise coming from the beings breathing apparatus.
"Captain William Jaeger, leader of the Red Death and captain of the Emperor's Conviction. We've heard great things about you, Captain." The Dark Lord said, walking past William and towards the Administrator. William saw the man walk past, his clothing as black as the shadow, the cape flowing over the floor as he moved. He stopped in front of the Administrator, the man looking up to the dark being.
"Lord Vader, a pleasure you could join us. Shall I leave you two alone so you may discuss in private?" The man asked. The Dark Lord simply nodded, and the Administrator walked out of the room, leaving the two alone. Darth Vader turned to face William, his glassy eyes glistening in the dark.
"The Emperor has a special assignment for you, William. Your recent achievements in dealing with insurrectionists has made you the perfect choice for a mission that requires a more," Lord Vader looked to the side for a moment, "Controlled approach. One that can not simply be taken care of with Storm Trooper Legions."
William looked to Lord Vader, confusion taking over his face. "What kind a mission would need that kind of control? Stormtroopers are very loyal and can get the job done, why would you require my Red Death?"
"Because your troopers follow your order to the letter, and never falter." Lord Vader held his hand in a fist. He approached William, towering over the man. "I require you and your Red Death to assault the asteroid Polis Massa and attack a rebel cell." Lord Vader handed William a data card. "This is the location of the cell. You must be very discreet and as fast as possible." Lord Vader began to walk away. He then stopped, and turned around, looking at William. "Do not fail us, William." Lord Vader then left the room, leaving William to look at the card. William then left as well, heading back to his ship.
