Jace's POV
Caitlin insisted not to take her to her place because she wants to get a cab.
"This is the least I can do for you, Caitlin, please allow me to drop you home." I pleaded.
"No, Jace, you've done enough already, don't worry, I will be fine." She urged.
"Okay, just tell me where you want me to drop you off. I want to see you get inside your place, can I at least follow your taxi?" I asked.
"Jace, please don't make this so hard for me. You see, I am suffering right now, and I can't take it to look at you leave me, so I shouldn't look at you or this car when I arrive at my place. I'll just think you're on a long vacation so it doesn't hurt much for me. Letting you go is the hardest thing for me to do, but seeing you suffer is the worst. I want you to be happy, Jace because I love you so much." She declared, and it was as if a knife was stabbing my heart with the words she uttered. I felt she is hurting because of me.
