Jace's POV
The incident that happens to Miracle almost wrecked me, that I find it hard to sleep at night, thinking something might happen to her again. The sad part is the reason for her near-death experience was my ex-girlfriend. For how many nights I lay awake thinking what could have happened to Caitlin if something happens to Mira. And I couldn't believe how lucky I am to have a girlfriend like her. She quickly forgives Caitlin. I felt glad that she did it because, after the incident, I found Caitlin turned back to her original self. Maybe her guilt of almost killing Miracle opened up all her senses.
I know Caitlin is hurting because Thomas White ignores her after what happened during our sailing trip, and it was one afternoon when she cornered me.
