"Cecily, Alice is your sister?!," Allen exclaimed.
Not long after William had introduced Alice, the student Allen had run into yesterday, Cecily had regarded Alice as her sister after Alice had spoken to her. With this it had Allen, Thomas and Stephen all shocked. Thomas especially, since he was Cecily's childhood friend.
"Now this is what I call an interesting development!," Stephen smirked.
"Ugh, both of you are so dumb," Rose slapped her forehead.
"Now now, it's only natural they didn't know," William laughed. "Alice remained indoors for most of her childhood life, so I would imagine Thomas never saw her when he played with Cecily when they were kids. And Allen only met Cecily at the beginning of the academy year. If Thomas doesn't know about her, I highly doubt Allen would"
"But still..," Rose sighed.
"You should be lucky enough you know her at all, Rose. She's surprisingly taken a liking to you, which she doesn't do to many," William grinned. "You only know that they were sisters, since I had mentioned to you she had a sister named Cecily"
"Ugh, fair enough," Rose sighed in defeat.
"Rose is nice," Alice gave her a small smile.
"Thanks Alice," Rose couldn't help but smile back.
"But Cecily, why did you never tell me about her?," Thomas looked at her like she didn't tell him something really important.
"Well…," Cecily started to say, not sure what to tell him.
"Now Thomas, no need to get on her back about it. There's reasons that she never told you," William explained to him.
"Then what was the reason?," Thomas asked. "I'm sure if Cecily didn't tell me, it must've been important"
"Alice, do you mind if I explain?," William looked at her for an answer.
"Negative," she replied back. "But just a little"
"Alright, thanks," William smiled at her. "Allow me to explain all to you a bit about Alice, and why I brought her here today"
Allen was wondering what William would say about her. She was rather quiet and… strange? Cecily must have had a good reason to keep quiet about her, but then again Cecily is a quiet person as well. But between the two of them, Alice seems to be the one who talks the least. Two quiet sisters.
"If you haven't noticed already, Alice is a bit… different compared to other girls her age," William said awkwardly.
"Different?," Alice tilted her head in confusion.
"It means you are special, Alice," Rose smiled.
"Special…," Alice smiled at her when she said that. Seems like she took it as a compliment.
"She would be considered on the introverted side of people, similar to Cecily," William continued to explain.
"Introverted as in, both of them are quiet and reserved, right?," Thomas asked.
"Yep, exactly opposite of what you are Thomas," Rose shrugged.
"And what do you mean by that?," Thomas asked, interested.
"She means you're loud and obnoxious," Cecily remarked.
"Loud?," Thomas exclaimed, loudly of course.
"Just like what you did there," Allen laughed.
"I-"
"If I may continue," William cleared his throat. Everyone quieted down. "Although both of them are generally quiet, Cecily generally gets along with everyone. Alice, on the other hand, is very peculiar with who she likes to talk to. "So, if she talks to you, take that as a compliment"
"Oh? Alice would you talk to me?," Thomas grinned at her.
She blankly stared at him, not saying a single word. It was almost as if she was looking at the chair instead of him, like he was non-existent.
"I'd probably leave it at that, Thomas," Rose laughed.
"What? Why?," Thomas looked down in defeat.
"While Cecily had met Thomas in their childhood, Alice remained indoors, inside the Rivertide family home," William continued, ignoring what they were saying before. "Due to certain… circumstances, she was generally not allowed outside. This is why Thomas never met her during their childhood, which is why you shouldn't blame him for not knowing she was Cecily's older sister"
"Fair enough," Rose agreed.
"Well, no wonder I didn't meet her," Thomas shrugged.
"Just like the rest of you, Alice also wanted to attend the academy to improve her magic here. Her magic is a bit… unique… so her being here can allow her to practice her magic in a better environment," William explained.
"Just how unique is her magic?," Thomas asked, interested.
"I am a bit curious as well. Knowing how magic can be used differently is always informative," Stephen agreed.
"It's… different. Nothing all of you have to be concerned about," William assured them.
"Aw, why not?," Thomas exclaimed.
"I'm sure it's not that bad," Stephen said.
"I don't even know what it is," Rose shrugged.
"Secret," Alice blankly said, not offering them any answers.
"I'm sure it has to do with her glasses," Allen noted, after thinking to himself for a moment.
"Glasses?," Thomas, Stephen and Rose exclaimed.
"What do you mean?," William asked, intrigued.
"Hm?," Alice turned her head over to Allen, after Allen caught her attention.
"Well, the only people I've seen wearing glasses in this Academy aside from Alice is William. William has told me before that they are some sort of magical artifact, but not how it is used. Magical artifacts come rare as it is, but these glasses seem to be rather mysterious," Allen explained.
"I see. And what do you think they do?," William asked.
"Not sure, but you did say her magic is a bit unique. Is her magic similar to yours, William?"
"Well, not quite. But-"
"William, you've yet to tell us why you wear glasses," Rose stared at him.
"You've yet to tell me as well," Stephen shrugged.
"I would be curious to know why he wears something like that too!," Thomas exclaimed.
"Hmph," Alice rolled her eyes. That was probably the first time they've seen her slightly annoyed.
"My glasses?," he asked, as if he was surprised they were so curious. "Nah, they aren't that important"
"Oh c'mon, you seem to wear them like some sort of trophy. You can at least tell us what they are for," Rose crossed her arms.
"I'm sure he has them for a good reason," Allen added.
"A good reason? Why yes, they are for a good reason, in fact a great reason," William smiled.
"And? That reason is?," Rose asked.
"Why, to make me look more charming, of course," William said, pushing in his glasses, striking a pose to make himself look dignified and smart.
"Oh please, like you would intentionally do that. Like anyone cares whether you wear those or not to make yourself look cool," Rose scoffed.
"It's not just looking cool. It's fashion!," William smirked.
"Yeah, yeah okay. Like anyone at the academy cares," Rose rolled her eyes.
"Well apparently I'm considered hot by some of the girls here. Supposedly there's some sort of 'William fanclub' here," William laughed.
"You… you can't be serious," Rose looked like she wanted to throw up.
"William, of course you'd say something like that," Allen shook his head.
"Wouldn't surprise me. I get enough attention from girls as is in my class, and I do look a bit like my father," Stephen shrugged.
"I wish there was a Thomas fangirl club," Thomas sighed.
"Shut," Cecily said, smacking the top of his head.
"What was that for?!," Thomas exclaimed.
"You're being an idiot," Cecily remarked.
"How?"
"Anyways, they're just a magical artifact for my magic. Nothing to worry about," William assured them, raising his voice a little over the ruckus in the room.
"Well if you're not going to tell us what they're for, you can at least let us look at them," Rose said, putting her hand out for William to hand her his glasses.
"Sorry, can't do that," William smiled.
"What?! We can't even take a look at them?"
"Can't take them off," he continued to smile, but with a slightly annoyed expression on his face.
"You can't even take them off?," Allen asked, confused.
"Nope," William shook his head.
"Then where did you even get them?" Rose asked.
"Long enough ago," William said, looking down at his desk and thinking.
"Hmph, Well one day I will have you take your glasses off and show us what they are for," Rose smirked.
"I'll second that," Stephen raised his hand.
"Why not, I'll third it," Allen shrugged.
"I'm also curious," Thomas suddenly looked up, pretending he was paying attention.
"Glasses," Alice blankly said.
"Okay, good luck with that," William smiled. "However, back to the topic at hand"
"Alice being a student here, and being Cecily's older sister," Allen reminded him.
"Ah, thank you. As I was saying before, it's not weird that Thomas and even Allen didn't know about her. She's currently a second year here, a rank C. I hope all of you can get along with her," William motioned over to Alice.
"Yes," Alice said, bowing a little.
Allen, Thomas, and Stephen all greeted her back.
"William, what's with the sudden introduction of Alice?," Rose asked, curious.
"Ah, I'm glad you brought that up," William suddenly remembered. "Allen, remember how I was mentioning clubs to you?"
"Yeah? What about it?," Allen asked.
"I figured all of you could form a club together, in order to more easily train all together," William responded.
"Wait, form a club?," Allen asked, caught off guard.
"What kind of club?," Thomas asked.
"I thought that was obvious, Thomas," Cecily shook her head.
"This might be interesting," Stephen smirked.
"William, you know I'm already busy with my Student Council work," Rose sighed.
"Club?," Alice asked, tilting her head.
"Yes, a training club. It would make training altogether much easier. As a club, you would be easily more authorized to use a training room, compared to just a group of friends wanting to use one," William explained.
"That does make sense," Allen said, thinking.
"It would certainly make things much easier too," Rose agreed. "However-"
"Yes Rose, I understand you are busy with student council work," William interrupted. "However, if you were already planning on training with them anyways, it wouldn't make things more difficult"
"I suppose, but…"
"Even so, how would we form the club anyways? Wouldn't we need a teacher to be the sponsor for the club?," Allen asked.
"Yes, you would need a teacher willing to sponsor the club, and then approval from a director at the academy," William answered.
"Well the approval part would be easy, but I doubt we could find a teacher who could sponsor us. Ms. Florence would probably ignore us," Allen shrugged.
"She ignores me enough as is," Thomas exclaimed.
"Ah, that reminds me, how is Ms. Florence doing?," William asked, grinning. "I would always like to know what a hottie like her is up to-"
"William you stupid idiot!," Rose yelled, throwing a book at him. Just where did she even get that book from?
The book hit William in the face, sending him to the floor. This made several of the papers around his desk fly around, becoming disorganized once more.
William could've easily dodged the book Rose threw at him, but he probably let it hit him so Rose would finally be satisfied.
"Anyways, let me handle finding a sponsor for you guys," William said, getting back into his chair from the floor. He put the papers back where they went, but did not organize them.
"I don't even know yet if we are going to form this club," Allen said.
"Hmm, fair enough. I can give everyone time to think about it, if you wish. It was only a suggestion to begin with, something that could help all of you out," William responded.
"Sure, that sounds good," Allen agreed.
"I'd like to create it now, but I guess I can wait," Thomas shrugged.
"I'm fine with what works," Cecily nodded her head.
"I don't mind waiting," Stephen said, leaning his head on his arm.
"I'll… think about it," Rose responded.
"Great, then I'll give you guys some time to think about it," William said, leaning back into his chair.
"But, how does Alice fit in with all of this?," Allen asked.
"I was hoping all of you would include her. She doesn't talk to many people, so it would give her an opportunity to open up more. She wouldn't mind joining your group since she already knows a few of you, so it would be a good start for her. Plus, she does need to work on using her magic as well," William explained.
"I would be fine with that. Is everyone else cool with that?," Allen asked.
All of them agreed that it would be fine if Alice were to join their group.
"Great, then I can start making the arrangements for a sponsor, and anything else required for you all to create a club," William grinned. "We can meet up here, at the same time, in about a week from now. This will give everyone here a full week to determine if they want to have the club created. Does that sound good for everyone?"
"Sounds good," everyone agreed.
"Yes," Alice responded, nodding her head.
"Very well, then I shall see all of you in a week!," William grinned.
"I have student council work, so I will see myself out," Rose waved everyone goodbye and left quickly.
"I got some training to do, so I'll see you guys next week. Later," Stephen added, leaving not long after Rose.
"Well, those two left rather quickly," Allen sighed, getting up from his chair.
"Well, both of them can be busy, believe it or not," William said, stretching in his chair. "I really need a new, more comfortable chair…"
"Well, I think we should all head out now. Cecily, Allen, ready to go?" Thomas asked, ready to leave.
"Not yet, I think I am going to talk to my sister for a bit," Cecily responded, motioning over to Alice. Alice nodded her head.
"Ah, right. You two are sisters and all. I'm sure there's a lot you two need to catch up on, right?"
"Yes, I haven't seen her since she left the family home to go to this academy," Cecily responded.
"Alright then. Allen, did you want to just head back together?," Thomas asked.
"Sure, why not," Allen shrugged. "I'll follow you out".
"Thanks Tom," Cecily gave him a huge smile.
"Y-yeah, no big deal," Thomas looked away, a little embarrassed.
"I'll see all of you in a week!," William waved all of them out as each of them left. He went back to organizing his paperwork.
Not long after everyone had left, he was already getting everything sorted back together, which wasn't fully like him. Working on and organizing paperwork was his least favorite thing to do.
"Those kids don't really know how good they have it right now," William sighed, putting some paperwork for another club at the academy back together. "If only our group back then worked out in the end. If only…"
As he thought to himself about the past once again, he was finally getting all the paperwork organized once more.
