ENNY
Three weeks later...
"The air is still a little bit ew," I said as I wrinkled my nose and held my hand over it before I glanced at Faye who came up with a plastic bag in her hand to join me and Alison in the elevated guard post. "You're no longer moving stuff?"
"Well, I'm taking a break because some men are helping us disinfect every inch of the medical centre and I needed fresh air, literally. The air down there is terrible. I'm surprised someone hasn't dropped dead from breathing it in. Not actually surprised but... you understand what I mean."
I bobbed my head at her before glancing at the semi-trailer truck that was in front of the stronghold when its engine started and it began to drive down the road. The trailer was filled with the bodies of the remaining infected from the horde and it was being driven a couple of miles down the road to either be buried or burned.
