DANIEL
The three infected that were on the road began to slowly make their way toward us and my stomach clenched as I stared at the small child who was one of them. She looked like some kind of horrific burn victim as she had no skin on her face and one of her hands was mangled. She couldn't have been much younger than Alison. As she drew each rattling breath, she made a low growling moan that chilled my blood.
The infected weren't horrific because they were decaying. They were horrible because they still looked human.
Jack began to growl and Zeke quickly muttered 'stay' to stop the dog from running toward the infected. Kamal quickly took care of them with the baseball bat he got from the gas station and I grimaced when he bashed in the head of the little girl. We couldn't use guns because the street was really quiet and we didn't want to alert infected to our presence.
