Allison 'Allie' Heights is a thirty-three-year-old polyglot (English, French, Italian, Hindi, and Japanese) Foreign Language and Information Processing Associate professor at UJFL, and Translator at the Airport. She lives in a seven-room modern courtyard house in Hinohara, an hour and a half from the Airport, 15 minutes from the university's campus. She drives an exported Acura NSX supercar and a Kia Seltos.
Jason Rivers is a thirty-five-year-old former foreign correspondent, and consultant at the University of Journalism and Foreign Language. He is given temporary accommodation in Allie's house by her friend's dad, who is also his former senior and the dean of UJFL.
University of Journalism and Foreign Language is a fictional English Elite University in Hinohara, Japan that admits top 5% from Asia after intense 4 step screening exams. Located away from city in the quiet part of Hinohara, the university admits students from all over Asia and with certain regulations and conditions the other nations too. It is the only UJFL campus in Asia, the others being in Grenada (for European students), Montana (for Western students), and UK (for the Scottish and English students).
