Recap: In the last chapter we switched over to the point of view of Jacob. Jacob is deeply worried about how this missing girl named Sage was going to effect her pack, and the fact that his soon to be second in command had made this occurrence possible. Jacob decides he's going to host his own investigation to try and find Sage. When Jacob finally finds the pond he realizes that another wolf was there watching her, and that her footprints let right to his hiding spot. He follows the trail of footprints until he comes upon an old log cabin. He searches to realize this is where she had been kept, and both her and the rouge were missing. What will happen next?
Sage's POV:
I slowly open my eyes to the sun shining in a sliver through the dark wall. I try to stand up but fail miserably and fall flat on my ass. Perfect I have no idea where the hell I am at, and I can't even withstand my body weight. I sit upright to start surveying my dark surroundings. I need to first figure out how I got here, and then make an escape plan. Shit what happened before this, before I was captured. I remember I was running from the cabin, and then I found a pond and decided to drink, but everything went dark. I was drug and kidnapped, but by whom. Probably wild rouges within our property. I look around to notice the room was all made of stone, and there was just a sliver of a window which could never be thought of for escape. I try to stand again, so I start by sweeping my legs onto my knees and push myself upward. I would for a second before I find my balance. I sweep my hands across the surface of the walls. I make my way around the room dusting the surfaces of the walls until I finally hit what I was searching for, a door. Thank the goddess a way out. I feel all over the metal surface until I found the latch. I tug on the latch, but no budge of the door whatsoever. I should've known it would've been locked. What intelligent capturer would leave the door unlocked. I would just have to wait until my capturer came back to me. God knows how long it will be before he or she comes back for me, the sun is already almost out of the sky. I believe this would be day four of me missing. I feel as if no one is coming for me. I curl up in a ball and start to weep as I drift to sleep.
Jacob's POV:
I sit infront of the cabin waiting for the pack warriors. While waiting for them to come I also decide to contact some of the best trackers in the pack. It doesn't hurts to have some extra noses looking for her. I look up to the sky to see the sun is just starting its decent. Shit this would be the forth day she's been missing. My father is soon going to be overwhelmed by pack members worrying for her, and about their safety. This whole occurrence in general is just a sloppy mess left for me to clean up. I semi understand my father trying to get me ready to become alpha, but I'm suppose to have the help of the pack behind me. All I have is the warriors and trackers because they are on my payroll. I snap out of my thoughts to see the warriors and trackers finally breaking through the tree lines. I debrief everyone on our current situation, and how important finding this girl now is. In the first kidnapping situation the rouge seemed to care for her, and keep her happy and well. It seemed as if she wasn't forced to do anything except of course come with him. Sage is now missing from the rouges home without a trace, but the real question is did she leave on her own free will, or did the rouge take her with him to a secondary location. After everyone has been briefed and understood everything properly we start to look for a secondary trail. It only took the pack trackers 5 minutes before they found her trail. From what they smelt it was only Sage traveling by herself. For our sake and hers I hope she got away, and is trying to head home as soon as possible. We follow the scent trail for what seemed to be 30 or 40 minutes. We finally hit a dead stop at a small pond which seemed to be heavily traveled by the wildlife. I raised my head and inhaled the air around me, something is most certainly off about this place. A very faint scent of a heavy chemical was left behind. The trackers a warriors decided best to survey the area to see if any more clues could be found. About ten minutes later I was mindlinked by one of our first year warriors to come and look at something. I follow his directions to a very underbrushed area, oh my goodness this place reeked of chemicals. I push the fallen branches and vines out of the way to find the warrior standing over a white cloth. I soon discovered the chemical smell was wafting off of it. I called one of the trackers over to find out what in the world it could be. The tracker finally found his way, and it only took him seconds within the presence of the chemicals to ID them. He immediately stated that it was a mixture between chloroform and wolvesbane. Shit shit shit. She escaped only to be truly captured. It was vital to find her as soon as possible depending on her life. Great this is all we need.
