Using his feet as a guide, Reggie positions himself at the midpoint behind Dimitri's house, next to Dimitri's old grill. He starts walking forward, trying to stay in a straight line as much as possible. However, he knows the line will inevitably waver.
It's as simple as that, just walk straight from Dimitri's backyard and, after about ten minutes, the cement plant will come into view. They tested this theory (duh) by simply trying it out in broad daylight.
In conclusion, it's full proof.
Ian's back at the house making a DIY ghost costume, which technically isn't a bad thing, because the boys create most parts of their costumes themselves, and definitely don't buy it. For instance, Reggie is wearing a light gray hoodie and gray joggers, with a pair of white sneakers and white colored contacts. The contacts are insane and make his eyeballs completely white, but since that's the only thing Reggie actually bought, his outfit was mainly assembled straight from his closet.
At this point the woods are scary to walk through, because it's a quarter after nine and the animals are roaming about. Well "animals" means only deer and raccoons, cause no other big animals show up in the town. You didn't have to worry about coyotes or bears in this little town, but Bambi will try to jump in front of your car every now and then. But, despite the lack predators, the sky is a black void, and the noises in the woods leave enough torture for Reggie's imagination.
Reggie follows the path. Not that there is an actual path, but there are certain milestones in the forest to keep an eye out for, which is how he'll know he's going in the right direction.
First is the stream, a little one with big rocks and pebbles drifting at the bottom. Crossing the stream is easy, the big rocks offer a path right across. Then, after pushing branches out of his way and avoiding thorn bushes for a while, he comes upon a small clearing that distinguishes itself from the rest. This area is covered by small white flowers, whereas the rest of the forest is just twigs and autumn leaves.
Reggie knows he is there before he even reaches the street, because the cement plant appears over the top of the trees. He almost falls going down the hill, but catches himself using a staggering tree branch.
The street is before him,—with the cement plant on the other side—and he contemplates leaving for a split second. The plant is about the size of three suburban houses, but it has the look of a mental asylum. Graffiti is plastered all over the grey walls—if you could even call them walls anymore, that is—which, although not bad in the daylight, look like skulls and snakes when reflected off the moon. There are no doors, only a hole in the right corner of the building like a demon's mouth, waiting for him to walk just a little too close.....so it can swallow him whole and grind his bones to dust.
The only visible light is the moon, but it only adds to the frightening atmosphere. Reggie wanders to another world while entranced by the view, realizing there are many things that could go wrong.
His friends aren't there, and he's stranded alone. A dentist appears with one of the rusty pipes—pinning Reggie's hands against the sludge on the ground in the process—and lifts the pipe towards Reggie's gaping mouth, the rust water from it dripping down onto his protruded tongue.
Bam! While smiling like a madman, the dentist thrusts the pipe down Reggie's throat, splitting his tongue and slicing the sides of his esophagus. Blood fills up in his mouth like a water tank, as his eyes go red and his body violently shakes.
'Snap out of it!' Reggie shakes his head to bury the thoughts, since he's already late and his friends will be waiting for him. With one final deep breath, he starts walking across the street, and the plant extends higher and higher as he gets closer to it. Little does he know, in less than three hours, he will die in a more violent manner than he imagined before.
