Savannah's skin is cool to the touch and has the consistency of marble but her small hand holds on tight to mine and I don't feel the cold.
The whirlpool is still whipping around and I wonder if Noran will be able to manage it before it goes boom!
I sense light go off behind my close eyelids and tuck Savannah tighter into myself, feeling the tremors of what would most likely be a huge ass explosion.
Just as it was about to go off I feel a gentle breeze blow but I pay it no mind, the resulting explosion is almost deafening and I brace myself for the impact but it doesn't come except for a gentle rocking.
After a while of silence I feel it safe enough to take a look, I lift my head slowly, opening my eyes in the same fashion.
I look forward and see September looking right at me with Noran cradled in her arms, there's a trail of blood right down her nose and the side of her mouth.
