With my mind made up, I squat lower, putting more strength in my legs to keep myself stable because if I lost my balance, the beam or magical resonance would probably blow out one side of the room and then the portal would collapse, dissipating instantly.
I wasn't a delicate thinking kind of girl, even though I probably looked it, I'm easily tomboyish and didn't give a fuck about what most of the world thought about me - well except my parents, and Zach, and Cameron, and apparently the rest of my friends… well let's just say I had a lot of important people in my life, what's surprising enough is that it's a recent development.
Add that to the fact that I never listened when my mom hired a Witch to teach us the basics of magic and how to improve on ours.
