I watch the succeeding events in frozen shock, unable to move that I don't even register when Grayson sends an attack at a distracted September, my heart stops briefly but she just effortlessly moves out of the way and in the next moment a huge rock is slamming into the vampire.
She had been right under my nose all along, the realization hits so hard that I can do nothing but just stare, gaping as she breaks Line like a spoilt toy that she didn't want anymore.
Selena stops her before she manages to kill the Vampire and she starts to go over, this breaks me out of my frozen state and I move forward.
Selena gets up, which seems like a miracle to me considering how battered she is but she effortlessly catches her twin gently before I could get to them.
"Hold her for me." She says quietly and I do, holding the Imperial in my arms.
