♦September's POV♦
The entire lunch hall comes alive then, people still sneaking glances at our table, although I think it's due to the three hot seniors taking a seat at our table.
"Heyy, baby sis." Zach kisses the top of Arianna's wavy locks.
"Sup Zach." Ari replies, patting his cheek.
"Hey Selena," Zack goes over to kiss her cheek, laughter in his voice.
"Hi Zach." She replies blandly, unperturbed by his tone.
Annnd... Crap! I'm the only girl left, damn him for being such a gentleman.
"Hello September," he greets stiffly, his lips barely brushing my cheek.
"Hey," I finally find my voice.
"Who's that?" Red bangs point at me, flinging the bangs out of his eyes.
"September my sis." Cyril answers impatiently, I could literally hear the eye roll in his tone.
"You have another one?" Red bangs...
'Stop calling him Red bangs,' Cyril yells in exasperation.
'Well I don't know his name.' I snap.
"Ciaran Ivor," Red bangs...
'Ember.' Cyril growls.
Okay, okay... Sheesh!
... Ciaran introduces, stretching out his palm, leaning forward so that his bangs covers most of his face.
I take it and he latches on, moving his hair out of the way with a flick of his head.
"W-What?" I stutter totally confused as he refuses to let go.
I look up at him to see his pastel green eyes - that's the only description that comes to my mind - glittering and he tosses me a wicked smile.
Immediately my hand starts to tingle, Cameron grabs my other hand.
'Stupid angel.' Cyril's annoying voice floats inside my head.
The heck is he even doing in my head? And what is he talking about?
'Aaargh!' I mentally moan, struggling not to do so out loud. 'Cyril!'
'Yeah?' He answers me, something close to concern in his tone. Whatever is happening can't be good.
'WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING TO ME!?!' I scream even louder, trying to distract my tingling nerve ends by screaming. Even as hot and cold flashes sear my body and Ciaran - the douche bag - was still holding tight to my hand.
Cyril's nervous chuckle dances around my brain, 'Um he's sorta pouring pounds of aphrodisiac into your body, don't worry it'll go away as soon as he leaves you."
'WHY FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE IS HE DOING IT TO ME THEN.' I screech in outrage, converting my pleasure to rage. 'I MEAN I DON'T EVEN KNOW THE GUY.' I screech louder.
'How is it possible that your voice has gotten louder.' Cyril winces. 'Plus it's what he does to every girl he's going to be friends with.'
'Your. Friends. Are. Nuts!'
"Aaaaaaargh!" Ciaran and Cameron simultaneously yell in pain.
What!
I shake my head groggily, wondering why, I don't care at the moment though, because Ciaran has let go of me.
"You're good." Ciaran gasps in obvious pain. "But did you have to give me third - degree burns."
"That's... That's all you're going to say." I splutter in disbelief, staring at the bag of soggy noodles wincing beside me. "Plus I did not burn you." I deadpan.
"You actually did," Cameron counters gripping the wrist of the so called burnt palm.
Which for the record - I. Did. Not. Do.
I mean, it's actually embarrassing to say but I have no powers.
Like Cyril has Telepathy and Selena - Emotions, but little ole me has nothing.
Plus, vampires usually exhibit their special abilities at a very young age, and last I checked, I wasn't three any more.
I stare at Cameron, like he just admitted he was actually a shape shifting worm. "I did not burn you guys." I return, turning to Cyril for support. "Plus you owe me an apology." I snap at Ciaran.
"Actually, September is right, there's no way she could have burnt you." Cyril says seriously - with that big brother tone of his.
'Yeah! Beat that.' I boast mentally, waiting for them to say something different.
Really, I was just scared to look too deeply into their claims.
My case wasn't unheard of, a Blank Vampire. The term assigned to Vampires who didn't have powers but it was as rare as rare comes.
"Septe?" Cameron says softly, taking my hands gingerly like he's afraid I'll burn him again. Or maybe it's just because his hand is still supposedly sore.
"I was holding your hand and I swear on my Great grammy's fang, that your palms generated enough heat to burn me."
I quickly pull my hands from his, clamping my lips together so they wouldn't tremble and give away how shaken up I really was - but I think I was too late.
"Why would you lie to me?" I gently ask him, looking straight in his eyes.
♦Cameron's POV♦
When September pulls her hands from mine, I figure she didn't and wouldn't believe me.
"Why would you lie to me?" She asks quietly, her voice breaking just the slightest bit as she searched my face with her huge, dark green eyes, her full red lips trembling.
Why can't I look her in the eye?
I'm not lying.
I push a hand through my hair and glare at Ciaran, trying not to wince as Arianna heals my burns.
I look pointedly at Cyril. 'Why won't she believe me?' I ask him mentally.
'I... It's complicated.' He sighed heavily.
Cameron narrowed his eyes. 'Then why won't you do or say something?' I demand suddenly pissed off at Cyril.
'Haven't you already tried that?' He replies angrily.
The bell goes off and September quickly picks up her bag and takes off, Ciaran hot on her heels.
After all the asshole had already done.
"Selena! You just sat on your butt." I grind out to her, ignoring her wince even though it jabbed at my heart.
"Cameron," she started without heat. "September is a Blank Vampire."
"Shit." I growl, taking off after her.

Chemistry class was the worst, I couldn't think of anything other than Selena's words.
They still echo in my head and I feel guilty for trying to convince September that she did something she can't do.
"Ron?" Dane calls, shaking my shoulder.
"Yeah man?" I answer distractedly.
"She'll be fine, it wasn't your fault." He pacifies.
I reach for my helmet and I see Selena and Cyril a couple feet over, I look at their cool bikes and notice that one is missing.
"She's gone." Cyril confirms.
"Of course she's gone, she didn't stay for any of the rest of her classes." Selena spits.
I stride over with Dane on my heels, "Just what the hell is happening right now?" I demand. "This is more than just being a Blank Vampire, plus I see we're ignoring the fact that she burnt Ciaran and I."
"Just some childhood trauma, she'll get over it." Cyril dismisses, walking to his bike.
"Like hell she will, Cyril." Selena explodes. "Must every damn thing remain a secret? I would go mad if I were September. And it's all her fault." She asks, intense anger fueling her tirade.
"Don't drag mom into to this? It's was a mistake." Cyril says tightly, looking at the ground.
"Everyone of the past seventy five times, not that I was counting." She bit out, glaring daggers at him.
"What are you talking about?" I ask, feeling very lost.
They both ignore Dane's and my presence, Selena looking like she might like to kill something and Cyril, one step away from exploding.
"Sel, calm down." Dane grabs her wrist as her eyes start to flash red.
"Let go of me." She yanks her hand out of his hold.
"Rafa, mom's deranged! She's using you to hurt September, so stop behaving like it never happened." She says, getting on her bike.
"Selena..." Cyril whispers.
"Rafael. Deep down you know it's true, you might have even been the one who destroyed her powers. Hell, we're all responsible, me, dad, you, mother, especially mom." Her face darkened.
"All the lies." She tacked on softly, "She feels left out Cyril, you and I don't know what that's like." She whispers before zooming off.
I was just about to ask Cyril, just what the hell, this whole drama was all about when he zooms off. Leaving me in my own thoughts, Dane looking rather worried.
