"Psst!" I felt someone throw a piece of paper on my hand and looked back at James to see him glaring at Daniel who was looking at me. I picked up the paper and read the words:
Meet me by the pool.
Seriously? I looked at James who was looking at me curiously. I quickly tore a paper and wrote:
Meet me by the pool at lunch.
He looked at me with a smirk. It was our spot. He nodded and then winked at me. I was about to laugh and it came out as a snort and I quickly covered my mouth and laughed silently my eyes tearing while James looked successful. "Anything you want to share with the class, Miss...?"
It took me a moment to realize that he was talking to me. I quickly glanced at the board and stood up calming myself. I picked up the marker and rubbed off the numbers and then I quickly wrote the correct answer and sat down and people looked at me like I was crazy while the teacher sat down and huffed.
I turned around and gave James a fist bump. "I guess you haven't told your little buddy about who you are yet." Alex said turning to me. I of course did the most sensible thing and ignored him. "So giving me bat, hey?" he chuckled.
"What do you want from me Alex?" I said getting fed up with all of this. He just shrugged and got annoyed with this reaction.
"I want you to got to jail and rot, but I can't do that without evidence," he said with anger evident on his face and then I felt hurt. I knew I shouldn't, but I did kind of had a crush on him sooo...
"What does that have to do with talking to me?" I said getting upset and irritated.
He shrugged, "I don't see anyone else sitting next to me and I want to hurt your fe-" He was cut off when I turned around to see the live Barbie about to give me a spit ball at the back of my head.
"Hey," I said completely ignoring Daniel who was also starring at me. "Could we switch seats?" I asked her. She looked shocked at my request and then squealed. She grabbed her bag and headed over to me while I went to her seat.
Instead of sitting down I grabbed the chair and was about to walk away when I felt Daniel grab my arm and tug on my arm. "You don't know who you're messing with," he growled repeating what I said that other night. His eyes were slowly becoming black. For the first time in my life I was uncomfortable edging towards fear.
"Neither do you," I whispered back and heard a low menacing growl. I almost didn't hear it, but it was definitely there. I whimpered lightly. I was about to pull my hand from his grip when he tugged back.
"I did not dismiss you and you do not leave without my permission, do you understand?" he said menacingly. I simply nodded completely afraid with what was happening, "Now sit down." I shook my head once and he growled, "Sit down."
I simply sat down and for the rest of the lesson I sat there completely still afraid to provoke him.
When the bell rang I literally ran out of class. I then remembered the meeting with Daniel and almost cried. I didn't know what to do but then I remembered James and I couldn't let him down. I sighed and began walking to the pool. When I got there I saw James and Daniel growling at each other. I sighed when they looked at me at the same time with a lethal look in both of their eyes.
"What is it?" I said looking at Daniel he stepped forward threatening me with his eyes. I shrunk back in fear and James came and shoved Daniel in the chest making him stagger backwards a bit.
I was getting tired of this because they began shoving each other harder and harder, "Why am I here?" I yelled causing them to stop and look at me. I wanted to run and hide.
"Fine," Daniel said in sarcasm, "Since you're in such a hurry to leave..." he looked at James and then I looked my watch to see that I have been here for 15 minutes. What the heck?
"Yes I have an exam just now and then I have to leave for my birthday party and you oans are ruining all of that for me!" I was now hysterical, "Okay, I don't know what (jumping ) is going on and I don't even think I want to know anymore. I am leaving and if you need to talk to me. Don't," I turned around and lifted my middle finger.
I walked through the halls carrying my kit bag to Gym. "Hey!" I sighed frustrated and turned around to see Barbie. "I don't know why you did it but whatever. You're off my revenge records." She said with a smile as if I had a reward.
She strutted away and I ran to Gym to see people running their 18 laps and I got 24 for being late. I didn't mind at all and began hearing my feet hit the ground. I passed everyone on my 4th lap they were on their 3rd. I kept running and I did thirty without realizing and walked over to the stunned coach who was still shocked then glared at me. People stopped and we played dodge ball.
I was so upset, I ended up putting all of my strength and energy throwing each ball aiming for people's faces. Each one of the balls hit the hard in the face and when it was just me and someone else I realized that he had all of the dodge balls. He gave me a smirk and I gave him cold dead eyes. Then he started throwing. I dodged each of them. Two or three nearly missed my legs. II did a back flip when he threw the last one and I landed on one knee with my fist on the ground. I looked up and realized that some of my white hair was showing.
I grunted in frustration. I picked up two balls and threw them one at a time and one hit his face hard and the other hit him in his area.
He grunted in pain and I didn't even feel any satisfaction. I looked at the stunned coach, "Did I pass?" I asked eager to leave. She just nodded quietly. I began walking to the door and saw Daniel standing there with a pleased expression. I gave him a deep pan look and turned around to go through the emergency exit. He looked shocked then snapped into his senses and ran after me and grabbed me hand and pulled me to a stop when we were infront of my car.
I growled deeply shocking myself. He pulled back and started blowing on his hand. "Don't touch me again." I said with a serious expression absolutely livid.
"Don't tell me what to do!" He was clearly trying to control his temper. I shook my hand and stepped right under his nose and put a hand on his chest pushing him back and repeating.
"I don't understand why you're so mad," Poke, "You're not the one being stalked," poke, "You're not the one who's late to every lesson because some loner," poke, "Won't leave you alone," poke, "You're not the one who was almost raped by the person you used to trust the most," poke, "So please tell me again why you're so mad at me! Why?
He looked shocked and then upset. His eyes had turned from stormy grey straight to pitch black. I took a step back shocked then everything went black.
Daniel's P.O.V
My wolf had taken full control by the time she first laid her hand on me. The night when I almost took her, Christen, my wolf, had taken full control. She wasn't our mate but we had both formed a bond with her.
This whole time I was keeping under control, but today she pushed it too far. When Christen took over she stepped back obviously not prepared to see my eyes change color. She took a step back and then her eyes went blank. She was standing, but her body was still.
I was back in control, "Emma?" I stepped forward and touched her hand when for the second time today a bolt of electricity made me take my hand away. I pulled my hoodie sleeves over my hands and tried to hold her hand and electricity shocked me again. I pulled back again and didn't know what to do anymore.
She shook her head and looked at me once again. "Don't touch me again. Do you understand?" I nodded still confused about what happened.
"Are you okay?" I wanted to touch her hand but I didn't want to go through that pain.
"Don't pretend you care. I f you dare try to touch me again, I will burn you." She said. Her voice was calm but you could tell she wanted to hurt me bad. "I could kill you easily and not feel anything. It is my job. If anyone wants dead enough to pay me, believe me I will not hesitate. I don't feel any other emotion but hatred towards you. Don't think that you have any control over me. You're not special. You're just another person so don't tell me what I can and cannot tell you. Stay away from me otherwise you will be the person who just stopped coming to school. You'll be just another dead person who people will forget in days." Ouch. "Don't bother me and don't speak to me like you own me."
I stood there too shocked to do or say anything. I snapped into my senses and
Grabbed her hand and a painful bolt of lightning shot through me. A knife was by my throat in seconds and looked down into her empty blue eyes. I simply nodded and she answered her phone which had been ringing for a while now.
"What do you want?" she yelled into the phone clearly stressed. Since I was a wolf I could also hear the person on the other end, but she didn't have to know that.
"Well someone's in a bad mood," the guy said.
She sighed while saying his name, "Douglas!" her boyfriend. The one who took her away from me.
"Fine, fine." He gave up, "We have a live one. For tow hundred thousand. He wants it fast, a surprise." She nodded understanding, "This guy will be waiting at a restaurant for his girlfriend, but she won't come at all. I'll make sure of it."
She glanced at me and the rolled her eyes, "Listen, baby, I'll call you later. Just come to my house and we'll talk."
"Sure, wear something nice," then the line went dead. I looked at her and saw a very furious person.
"Did you want to say anything to me for you to try to eves drop into our conversation." Her eyes were blazing.
" I was going to ask if you needed a ride." I said the first thing that came to mind.
She scoffed and then went into her car and drove off without looking back.
