Tonight is the night it's finally the Spring Dance and I've been waiting to go for a while now. At school it's all anybody talks about. Mostly everybody has asked someone to go with them. Eddie asked Judy to go with him, Jj asked Cicci to go with him, David asked Kattie to go and Todd asked Jasmine and they all said yes.
It's the day before the dance and my friends are trying to make me ask Hollis to the dance but I'm nervous. I finally work up the courage to walk over to her.
"Hey Hollis."
"Oh hey Ben what are you up to?"
She asked.
"Well I wanted to ask you something."
"Yeah what is it"
She said as she smiled at me that got me very nervous and scared.
"Would you like to go to the dance with me tonight if you don't want to I understand I'm not the coolest person in the school."
I looked down at my feet and then looked up to look her straight in her light blue eyes she has.
"Oh Ben well...."
"Let me guess you don't want to go with me."
I started to walk away when something I didn't suspect to happen happened.
"Yes I would like to go to the dance with you."
I turned around in surprise.
"Really you would go with me."
"Yes your kind, funny, smart and most of all you got heart"
I walked over to her and gave her a big hug she hugged me back.
"See you tonight."
I said.
"See you tonight"
I ran right over to David and the others and they all congratulated me I was so excited that I ran all the way home.
"Mom I need your help."
Mom knew what to do and Dad helped to as well as he could. I drove right over to Hollis's place and picked her up. Then I drove over to Eddie's house and picked him and Judy up and we went straight to the school.
We got their and met up with the others and headed in. When we got in we saw that the dance was just getting heated up. I took Hollis's hand and we went straight over to the dance floor.
"Awww how cute is this."
Said a voice that I knew. I turned to see Aaron and his girlfriend Jess walking over to us.
"How did a loser like you end up with a complete loser like him,"he said.
"Alright just back off Aaron we don't want any trouble."
"Oh do you now well I do after that little scam you pulled the other day"
All of a sudden Jj and Cicci came over.
"Hey just back off Aaron"
Said Jj. Aaron stepped forward and pushed Jj and Jess came up and pushed Cicci right into the snack stand. I went over to help Jj up and Hollis went over to help Cicci up. I turned to go help them to only get punched in the face. I got up to see that Aaron was over top of me. Hollis ran over to try to help me but Jess pushed her down. I saw Aaron starting to turn to go over to Hollis I was about to kick him when Jess grabbed me. Aaron was right on top of Hollis he leaned over and picked her up twirled her and she stopped to face him then he pushed her down on the ground. She got up and pushed Jess off of me and helped me up.
"Are you okay" She asked me.
"Yeah I'm fine but what about you."
Aaron started toward us when Principal Howard stepped in front of him.
"I heard you started something Aaron"
He told Aaron to follow him. Jess didn't go with him she went over to some friends.
"Hey thanks Jj" Hollis said.
"Oh it was no big deal"
He replied as he turned to go check on Cicci.
"So back to what I was saying are you alright" I asked.
"Yes I'm fine" she said.
"Do you want to go home?"
"No, this dance just started I bet Aaron won't be allowed back in," she said.
So I gently grabbed her hand and right at the right time the right kind of music turned on. I looked at her and my heart didn't feel cold anymore it felt warm. After the song stopped we went over to some of are friends.
"You two make the perfect couple"
Said David as we were coming over.
"Oh stop it" I said.
"Um Ben"
I turned to see what Hollis needed. When I turned around Hollis grabbed my shirt pulled me close so are noses touched. I look into her bluebell eyes my heart was racing. She kissed me.
"See I told you"
David said as I turned to see him. Eddie and Judy came over right after me and Hollis kissed.
"Did I see you two just kiss" Eddie asked.
"Yes you did" said Hollis.
Bang! The big TV we have in the gym turned on and on the screen it appeared to be a game show set. The screen turned to face Aaron, I couldn't move.
"OMG what's going on" Hollis asked me.
"I don't know."
Jj, Todd, Cicci, and Jasmine all came running over to us.
"Someone has to find him" yelled Jasmine.
I ran to the door but they we're locked.
"Their locked."
I ran back over to Hollis and I put her in my arms.
"Hello everybody my name is The Watcher and I have taken Aaron for what he did to Hollis and Ben"
said a man who stepped in front of the screen it appeared to be the same man that chased me, David, and Todd.
"I'll give you one chance to save Aaron, I have unlocked the one set of doors over on the west side of the gym and I want Jess to come through them if anyone else goes through the doors they will die"
The Watcher demanded. At first Jess didn't move then the Watcher swung his katina and he sliced Aaron's left arm off. Everybody started to pleaded for Jess to do it but she didn't. The watcher started to cut into Aaron's right arm off. Jess still didn't move. The Watcher cut Aarons right arm off then he started a chainsaw and put it over Aarons left leg he brought it down and moved over to his right leg and started to cut in slowly. Aaron was screaming in pain. Jess got up and went to the door opened it and walked out, when she did a bucket of acid poured all over her and she screamed and melted away and then The Watcher pulled a lever and a cinder block fell on Aaron's head.
