She pulled on Lexine's arm, making her stand as well. "Great-grandfather is at the main table. If you would first go and pass your greetings, that would be well appreciated." Her lips were pulled down, and her chin was raised, as she looked down at the old man.
"Father…" James began.
Lord Adley chuckled, raising his hand to stop James from speaking, "If it is what I am expected to do in this situation so that Lady Leilani can at least listen to what I have to say, then I shall accept it."
