Chapter 144 - WALK

When Lexine came to, it was already afternoon. She still felt a little dizzy and had to stay in the lying position she was in. The room she was in was not the one she had slept in the night before. She was lying on her back, therefore the first thing that came to her eyes was the ceiling. Completely unlike before, she could see very clearly since the room was not shrouded in darkness.

It took a few seconds for Lexine to remember that she had just given out some of her blood in exchange for her freedom. She pushed herself off of the bed into a sitting position and looked at the surroundings.

The room was large, almost as large as the room she had at the academy. There was a wardrobe on the left side of the room and there was a smaller trunk at the foot of the bed. She lay on a king-sized bed and there were a few quilts folded neatly in a stack to her left.

She did not look at them for long as she immediately jumped off of the bed. Whose room was she in?
