Lexine woke up a few hours later, and by this time it was already past noon. This time, she was not sleepy in the slightest. If she had been given the chance to sleep until she was satisfied, then there was only one conclusion, Aurinda had slept in herself! Lexine could not wait to laugh in Aurinda's face.
She took a quick shower before putting on her running clothes. She doubted she had slept for so long since the sky outside was still dark.
After she was dressed, she directly went to Aurinda's room. There, she paused at the door and placed her ear at the door. There was no sound coming from inside so there was no doubt that Aurinda was still fast asleep.
This was the first time Lexine had felt cheeky since she came to the academy. She knocked loudly at the door. Once. Twice. Thrice.
Aurinda did not open the door, nor did the light come on from inside the room.
Lexine tilted her head, slightly confused. 'Maybe she already went downstairs to get something before waking me.'
