The food hall was large and accomodated all the students in the academy. At least Lexine thought it was all the students. They were quite a lot. The food was served using self service. And the food was piled up together in large heaps. It was very convenient as if you wanted to eat in this hall, you only had to pay a few copper coins at the door. Lexine did not know of this, and even if she did, the coins that she had been given by Karl we're all silver and gold. She was very sure she had not found any other coins. She did not plan to use any of the gold coins because that was something she planned to use with her mother after her one month in the academy was up. Would Karl refuse her from taking the gold with her? Lexine didn't know and frankly, she didn't care. She would definitely find a way to carry all that gold with her!
Christana, being the wonderful spendthrift she was, paid for everyone in their group. Inside the hall, they met up with their other housemates.
