Lexine stood rooted to the spot, shocked. Ceeret was the first to react. She jumped off of the seat and directly into Lexine's arms. Lexine stood there, her hands hanging on her sides. What were they doing here?
She pushed Ceeret away, "W-what are you doing here?"
Adrianna stood, her six-foot frame towering over Lexine. She crossed her hands over each other, "You left me with no choice. You have not written me a letter in more than a week."
Lexine looked at Arkien who was looking down at his papers like it had nothing to do with him.
She had not forgotten to write her mother a letter. Quite the contrary in fact. Her mother had sent her a letter daily. Sometimes there would be two letters, one her mother's and one Ceeret's. However, she did not want to write them a letter just in case what Headmaster suspected turned out to be true. If they wanted to get to her, the easiest way would be through her mother or best friend.
