Lexine did not see anything wrong with the way she had answered Taevlin, therefore she turned to Christana and Artin. Despite the fact that she preferred her own company, she would rather listen to Christana's chattering than speak with Taevlin. She did not know why he irked her. Probably because he carried an air around him that seemed a lot like he was unapproachable. Lexine felt really uncomfortable around such people.
Christana sniggered, her palm covering her lips. The reaction on Taevlin's face was simply priceless. He stared at Lexine slack-jawed. Artin slightly understood his reaction. It was the first time someone had ever refused to do something he told them to do. Most would clamor to do as he had requested. Lexine had just disregarded him though.
