Lexine was seated outside, looking up at the night sky. Since her aunt's house wasn't close to the city, the stars were particularly bright that night.
She was seated on a reclining seat, with her neck tilted back and was looking up at the sky. She had a barely noticeable smile on her face as she slowly counted the infinite number of stars in the sky.
It had been quite some time since she had just sat down and had some time to herself. Since she had discovered the fact that she wasn't human, things had been going all sorts of wrong for her. She was unable to have even a second of peace to herself.
If she wasn't being kidnapped, then she was being forced to practice, or she was selling gold to make money for her and her mother, or she was trying to discover more about her father and the species she was in.
The silence at this time felt good.
The voices of her housemates in the background seemed to melt and disappear as she took in deep breaths with every star that she counted.
