"No one." Jisung's smile didn't even flatter. "Why would I make a deal with someone? And for what?"
"You were dead." William frowned and Sathanas looked at Xavier, letting him know what he was thinking and trying to see if his Lord thought the same too. "How would someone come back from death as if nothing happened?"
"I tied my soul to a tree," Jisung said and though their face didn't show anything, their eyes suddenly looked away instinctively but when they realized it, they quickly looked back at William but it was too late to not go unnoticed by William. The Hybrid was staring intensely at them, trying to see the bond that he had read about a few months ago, even though he knew well the bond wouldn't show itself like this.
"Weren't you afraid that the tree might die?" Esme said, her eyebrows arched the same way as William. "Why would anyone risk that?"
