No matter how long Cailina stared at the portrait in front of her, the people in it never changed. She squinted her eyes as her father seemed to be around her age during the time of this painting.
There was no brother that her father wrote about in the journal.

Cailina sighed as she looked around, darkness surrounded her as her lantern could only light a few steps.
It seemed that the longer she gazed at it, the black void in front of her, her eyes began to play tricks on her, and a silhouette emerged from the darkness.
With the darkness as a blanket of those unseen, dark mist oozed from a few portraits. Gradually filling the entire floor without Cailina's knowledge.
She narrowed her eyes and slowly approached the silhouette and in a swift manner, removed the cloth.
The unused coat rack greeted her sight.
