From an outsider's perspective, Damion was only running in circles and slashing the air. As though he was a person that lost all his sanity due to the influence of an unknown beast.
Cassius stayed at a distance as he tried to look for a crack that the beast left. He was relieved that Damion was doing a great job staying alive longer than expected. The favored one's brother was a strong one.
For a split second, Damion got out of the beast's grasp and headed towards the waterfall. He dashed as soon as he found a way different from what he was seeing for the past hour.
The rushing waters echoed into his ears, perhaps his confusion might be cleared by a splash of water on his face. He looked back and saw nothing.
The branches that pestered him for a good while were nowhere to be seen as if they never existed. He let out an exhausted breath as he didn't know that danger ensued as soon as Cassius left.
