Damion saw his older sister's maid approaching them. He turned to Cailina but she was no longer there. He scanned the surroundings for any signs that his sister left and only saw people dispersing away from the river.
The lanterns had floated away from the crowd, leaving the moonlight to engulf the scenery. Leili blinked as she didn't notice any movement from the older sister. She glanced at the smiling lady and bowed.
"I will head home now," she said and smiled at Damion, "you can find me near the fish market."
Damion waved back at her as the latter ran off. His smile vanished as worry replaced the happy expression he carried.
"Where did my sister go?" he asked.
