Chereads / My not so scary Man / Chapter 3 - Chapter 2

Chapter 3 - Chapter 2

I opened my locker, getting through my things and looking for my new books that we just bought yesterday.

I remember Mom telling me to cover them all up so they won't age.

"So this is where I can find you"

I turned around and saw Chad with his hands in his pocket. "Why? Have you been stalking me dear sir?"

"Not at all Ma'am" He smirked.

I stared at him and then I remembered,

"Hey have you seen Professor Jim? I was confused, he got in late and just stormed off after saying that the principal had an accident or something"

"Yeah I saw him" he said nonchalantly. He avoided his eyes from me and just shrugged getting the books in my hands.

"Is there something wrong?" He asked as I stood there staring at him. "You know, I had a bad dream last night" He raised his brow.

I chuckled, "I know that you know about my dreams"

He sighed and walk towards me, kissed me on the forehead and smiled, "Just tell me every small detail about it if you're ready" I nodded and lowered my head. A little shy about his small stunt. He is pretty popular in school so I can feel every stare of those minions of his.

"Thankyou so much Chad, but I can't seem to shake off my mind what Professor Jim told me earlier"

"What did he tell you?" He asked his eyes darkened?

How?

"Well, he didn't tell me anything directly but I can tell that there was something going on" I said stating the fact.

I sighed and just smiled, "Okay fine, let's not talk about that. Let's just go" He nodded and held his hands in mine as we walked towards our next subject.

I am so irritated. I just- ugh.

"Okay Rida, yes I talked to Jimmy Neutron" I laughed at the name. "I wasn't really happy at what the treatment he is giving you. My Mom already talked to him about it but it seems like he's still not done on the issue with your Father" I nodded at him.

He patted my head, "I took care of it okay?"

"It's not good to punch a teacher Chad" he frowned at me clueless at what I just said.

Didn't he? "Did you?" I asked

"No I didn't. Why would I even do that to my uncle?"

"Oh maybe the fact that the girl you're courting is not in his favor?"

He laughed sarcastically, "Okay, now that's low blow" he points at me.

I shrugged, "Well?" I said putting my hands on my hips frowning at him.

"Uhm, no I didn't I actually don't know what you were talking about. I mean, I would punch him especially if you get involved in some issue with him but no, not like this"

"Whatever let's just go to our next class" I took his hand and dragged him along the hallway with him chuckling at my remarks.

The day passed by in a blur with no Anthony or Professor Jim in sight. It was boring but pretty good and I will not let this pass as my worst first day ever. I've had worse.

"Shouldn't you be going home?" A voice asks

Why does he always pop up out of nowhere. I was already fine with what happened and here he comes ruining it all over again. Just like before.

I turned towards him, "Get lost Anthony" I was standing at the front gate of the school waiting for Chad. He went back inside to get my umbrella and his car keys. I know, he left in inside the boys gym earlier.

Anthony stood at the open doors of our school, hands crossed over his chest and grinning. He seems amused seeing me all by myself.

"Now now, don't get so crossed at me. And stop giving me that look it's giving me chills" he said raising his eyebrows up and down.

Uhm, no. "Just shut up and go home Anthony"

"I should be the one telling you that considering you're the female here. I wouldn't stand here alone this late at night. You do know that there are several cases going on right now." He said shrugging.

I ignored him and called Chad.

*phone ringing*

"Hey this is Chad's voicemail sorry if I can't catch up on the phone, please leave a message after the- *beep*"

"Where is that ahole?" I whisper to myself.

Anthony walked closer to me and leaned back on the wall behind us. "I already told you to keep your distance from him. Stay away Rida I'm telling you, or it's not gonna be pretty." He has a serious face plastered on. His grin nowhere to be seen, he is pretty convincing though he didn't even told me why I should stay away from Chad.

"Tell me one good reason why I should stay away from Chad"

"It will do you good"

"No Anthony, it will do YOU good." He ignored what I said and just walked off.

Whatever's happening is really not good. And I'm gonna find it out by myself.

I'm totally regretting going to find it out by myself.

A few minutes ago after the scene with Anthony, I went inside the school to see where Chad is. I search through the hallways, the lockers and I even went to the boy's locker room where he told me he will be. He wasn't there, I don't know what just happened but I searched for him until it was almost time to really go home.

My Mom will kill me but, Chad is still here he will not leave without me I just know it.

I was about to head out of the school when I felt some rush of wind behind me. I turn around but there was nothing. I was beginning to get scared, seeing that I was the only one inside the school. I might be but I'm not sure even though I know that Chad's still here.

"Who's there?" I call out.

I walked slowly, being cautious around me. Feeling every little thing that might make sense with the panic I'm feeling inside.

I don't have my phones with me, Chad probably went home without me and Anthony isn't even here.

Another gush of wind went past by my side and something stood meters upfront. A tall figure but it has four feet and I could tell that it has the shape of a dog. I can't really see it clearly because of the dark hallways. But the reflection of it's eyes is menacing. As if it was ready to pounce on me.

I am so screwed. I think to myself as I slowly walked backwards.

It growled lowly huffing and puffing as if telling me not to even move a single muscle. Having second thoughts on what it was, it stalked me and walked closer and closer as I stood still. It finally came onto the light and slowly, I saw it's full form.

It's snout looked strong. The teeth that I can see from it's growls were big. I can tell that it's a male because of the heavy built that it has. What I can't understand is why's there a wolf in the middle of the city. Why is there a wolf here in our school out of all the places it can go to.

A tall black and brown wolf stood before me. Baring it's teeth and extending it's claws. It was ready to pounce on me and eat me alive. I stood there examining it and questioning why it's too tall to be a regular wolf.

And then, it hit me.

"Chad" I spoke out loud remembering my friend that was probably still here in the school.

The wolf stopped and stood there. It stopped growling and just stared at me. I frowned as the wolf walked closer. I got more stiff as it got closer and closer.

I closed my eyes, ready to feel the pain that it will cause. But nothing came, I opened my eyes again and I felt my body wiggle and fall down the floor.
